i notice coby shakes his fur like everytime he movies dose yorkie do this alot? i have seen dogs do this coby just seems too do it alot he's
done it ever sence we had him

Ozzy shakes a lot too. He does it mainly when he is wearing his sweater, in his crate (?) and when he has his belly band on. I don't think too much of it.

Is it his body, or is he shaking his head?If that's the case it could be ear mites.

My Kayti shakes well all over,well, like a dog would when wet.She has done this forever(she doesn't have mite's)We had our vet check for that.I even saw a Yorkie at the Westminster show do the same thing its like "you can comb me all you want but I will undo all your good deeds!"God forbid she leave her top knot all pretty.lol. Now my other one Khloe does not do this.Except when she is wet!

no its his whole body then his legs and tail, butt area moves it like hes always fixing his fur?

yes thats why hes doing its like he's wet and if i do his hair he will shake un done right away but when hes doing this its so loud its like a padding sound.. on the ground

Buster shakes like when he's wet. I hate it when he does this in the middle of the night. His tags rattle and then it starts - shake, rattle and roll. That will keep me up for a while....:eek:

Sugar shakes her whole body every time after I comb her hair, I think she prefer messier hair :rolleyes:

I think it is just a yorkie trait. It is funny at dog shows, an exhibitor can brush their yorkie out really pretty before putting him on the floor and moving him for the judge. It never fails that as soon as the yorkie starts to move they will have to stop and shake. Its like they feel they have to fix their hair the way they like it.

Another cute yorkie trait is the yorkie stretch. My Dixie will bark at me to pick her up but so many times she will just back up and do this silly body stretch before stepping forward to be picked up. I am sitting there there thinking, 'okay, anytime you are ready':rolleyes:

oh my goodness cobys dose this all the time and he kinder puts a cute baby look on his face like mom pick me up now and he leans like with his two feet on his bars when he stretches i mean it it looks like a little kid trying to charm you too pick them up i thought this was somthing he just did interesting too see
other yorkies do it as well

lol coby barks at me too he will get louder when he sees me in his view and it looks so cute because he will keep barking and his little ears and face bold all up in a frown

It would be great if it worked for us.

But, one of my fellow exhibitors is a canine bahaviorists. She was great to listen to and helped me with training my dogs for the ring. Taught me a lot about canine behavior.
