Do any of your furbutts do this? 1 Attachment(s) My Jack climbs up on my husband's back, towards his head and just sits there. Not sure why. Could this be a dominance thing? I would love to hear if any of your little guys/gals do anything like this. I've attached a picture. |
Jax does that sometimes.. but its only in the car. He'll curl his little self around your neck and lay there between your neck and the back of the seat. I think he just wants to be up high where he can see. |
My Callie does that too...in the car only though. I know it's not safe, but I do allow it sometimes. |
Couver does that in the car as well... also... not safe, so it doesn't happen often! |
Winston does this to be a lot of the time. Generally he does is in an attempt to get close to me and curl up at the same time. I've assumed it to be a cross between comfort (being close) and well as wanting height (for security - see farther.) Took me a while to break him of his bad "habit" because as much as I love him, he is way too big to be a shoulder pet. |
Gracie Ruth & Yogi both will crawl up to sit either on my chest right under my chin, or to sit on my shoulder. I don't think it's a dominance thing, but them simply wanting to be close and to cuddle or to feel 'safe'. Now that Boo has watched them do this he's decided he wants to sit there too. Only problem is Boo is 10 lbs! But he sure thinks he's only 4lbs when he wants to cuddle with his Momma. :p I do my best to accommodate him, but sometimes he just has to settle for being in my lap. "Boo, you aren't a window, Momma can't see the tv through you." |
Yup Tucket does this too. He has to be on my chest and when hubby holds him, he likes to be on his shoulders. Not Ozzy though. He's also way too big to be a shoulder pet. He loves the lap though so we're good. :D |
Scooter sits kinda half way on the back of the couch and half on hubby's shoulder. DH calls him "daddy's little parrot":D |
Kayti does this when I am giving her little sister Khloe a bath in the bathtub. It like "ha ha I'm not getting a bath and you are!" Very funny. She does it anytime I am sitting on my knees on the floor.I love it. |
I have heard that it is a dominance thing. I can't say whether it is true or not. (?) |
Bitsy does this when she is scared. I can only speak for her but she is such a timid dog I doubt if it has anything to do with dominant. She just can't get close enough. |
Lola curls under my chin too! |
