Duncan jumps on bed every nite himself, it's DANGEROUS! how do I stop him? :( When I found out it's usually the next morning he's up in the bed already... But sometimes when i woke up he's still on the floor jumping trying to get on, he's tiny the bed is tooo high for him, he could hurt himself!!! How could i let him get the idea it's bad and nono b4 he really hurt himself bad:mad: tnx |
Get him steps or a ramp he could go up |
Yeah, I'd do the steps or ramp option too. |
Yup, bed steps or a ramp. Easy fix. |
Dh made a ramp for Gypsy when she was a puppy. A board with carpet remnants on it. Take him up and down it a few times and he will get the hang of it. |
but I forgot to say, i wasnt even sure it's a good idea to share bed with him..:D |
We have a bed that is high also and I made a ramp with a big pillow and something underneath it to support it. I have 3 furbabies that sleep with DH and I. They all know were ramp is and use it very well. If they need to potty they get down during the night and use their pee pads:) |
I was going to suggest the stairs option for your little one. I have seen them for good prices on ebay. In the meantime, I would not be allowining him to be sleepin gon the bed , because it is dangerous > Falls like that could be absolutely devastating. |
I have stairs up to my bed and all 6 dogs use them to go up and to go down. My smallest is 3#'s and she has never fallen out of bed...these little dogs do understand heights etc but their urge to be with you overcomes their fears so they will take risks....get the stairs and then you won't have to worry...;) |
