can someone please answer this why yorkies wht do each yorkie look so different ? even when full bred..i notice some yorkies have pointed, flate faces..others have round cute teddy bear faces.. i was hoping cobys face was more round but its more pointed? why dose some of the dogs fur lay on there face and look shabby while others look fluffy and poof> cobys fur wont poof unless i blow dry him:( i like the fluffy poofy fur around the face and cute button nose |
the only thing i can really say is that they all come different. you just gotta love them as they come. |
It's related to breeding, lineage, age, & grooming. |

If every Yorkie looked the same, it would be boring :) |

I agree. Also, since Yorkies are so popular, they are unfortunately a favorite among backyard breeders and puppy mills who pay no attention to the Yorkie standard. |
Most of us have "pet quality" Yorkies rather than show dogs, and there are differences in them. Coby is still so young, he will go thru many more changes before you see how he is really going to end up. Just love him for the sweet little guy that he is and try not to get too hung up on expectations of his looks. After about a year he will have his full growth and adult coat, and you can better accentuate certain characteristics with different grooming styles. |

If you want his face to look more round you can aways take him to the groomers ask for a teddy bear cut. |
oh and some detanglers will make his hair poofy. |

:)I think that your little Coby is absolutely adorable! What a precious little guy! |
It's true they are all really different, but all priceless! Ramses is my first furrkid that is entirely mine, I grew up with three "baby face" Yorkies. Ramses has a longer , more vertical face, but I just love it. I think he looks adorable and distinguished. My mother, however, recently asked me if I was sure he didn't have any schnauzer in him! Of course not! He's all yorkie! She'd just gotten used to the baby faces for so long that that is what seemed normal to her. Vive l' difference! And I am trying so hard to post a picture of my little bug but it takes SO long! |
