This is getting frustrating :( So I started Fergie out on a schedule in order to get her potty trained. For the most part, it is going great! She has had hardly any accidents. The problem is, she keeps going pee on my bed every once in a while. I don't know what to do. I take her out according to her schedule and she is starting to catch on, or so it seems. How can I get her to stop going on my bed? It's starting to take a toll on my comforter and linens! |
I wouldn't let her in my bedroom.Put up a gate,close the door whatever. |
Well my room is the only place I can really keep an eye on her. I'm a student so I spend most of my time in my room doing homework if I'm not at school. I don't want to keep her in her crate all day because she doesn't really go in my room except the occasional going on the bed. |
don't let her on the bed if you want to play with her get down on the floor if you want to sleep with her sleep on the floor do not let her on the bed until she is 100% potty trained then start letting her on the bed if she pees again put her off the bed for permanent i know it seems harsh but if its all you can do then you have to do it |
When you wash your linens, use a 1/2 cup vinegar to remove the urine smell. Regular detergent may not be doing it and she can still smell it on your bed. |

Is this while you're there or when you're gone? If you want to leave her out when you are there, that's fine but you really should confine her when you leave. Not just for you but for her! What if she were to get hurt or something? If you don't want to crate her I would invest in an exercise pen (basically a baby play pen) for when you're gone or when you're studying and can't keep an eye on her. That way she has plenty of room for her bed and food/water and toys but you can still put potty pads and/or a plastic liner so she doesn't have accidents on your carpet. |

How old is Fergie? Is she spayed? Females mark territory too just for different reasons than males (usually to attract a male). The only other thing I can think of is that maybe you're not taking her out often enough when you are home?? |
