OMG, I just have the scare of my life OMG, you guys still freaking out about it :(, we took the girls out in the back yard, to play I always in the look out for anything we watch them close the 3 dogs of one of my neighbor start barking she has two small dogs and a large lab, so I ck my fence if everything is ok, our house is on a hill top they are down they don't come up close to the fence, (good thing) then I seat on the patio long chair to drink a coke and a snack watching hubby play with the girls, for the first time since I move here, I'm relaxing in the back yard with out worries about my girls to much, when suddenly hubby said to me on a panic mode, GET THE GIRLS IN, get the girl in, I'm like what is going on? he said get them it, and he try to grab Phoebe, so I told the girls lets go in they came running inside except Phoebe she was kind a far ( I don't think she hear me) hubby try to grab her and he is looking on top of our house and I call Phoebe Lauder she run inside, hubby said is a HUGE hawk, I stay in the kitchen freaking out , I ask him how close he was, hubby said to close for my comfort, I just save you from a heart attack he said, hubby is not kind of person that freak out or panic easy, he is very strong man, but I could see the worry on his face, sorry to long, PLEASE everyone be careful with your furbabies. |
That is so scary. I am glad yours are alright. |
Oh Greta how horrible for you guys! Now I'll bet you won't let them run around the yard. Just seems no matter where you go, you always have to worry about other dogs, coyote's, big cats and birds of prey. So sad. |
Oh how scary glad you got them in in time. This happened to us too. if it wasn't for my Boxer warning us just seconds before one would of got my babies. I took them out to potty and sit on the step while they ran around the yard. all of a sudden My Boxer starts barking like crazy just as a dark shadow is showing in the grass. it was the wings of it swooping down, I didnt know what to do and both my babies were in different spots so while my boxer barked and was jumping around I started waving my arms and running in circles around my babies picking one up then the other and ran them to the house. yeah I might of looked like a crazy women running with my arms out and about to distract it. but it helped that and my Boxer because I saw those wing shadows swoop down around us 2 times. I also screamed out my babies names and they froze until I grabbed them up. They knew some thing was happening because any other day they would of ran thinking I was playing. we also have coyotes, fox all around. |
That's very scary. The same thing happened to me when I brought Fergie over to a friends house. A bird was just circling their yard. I immediately grabbed her and ran into the garage! |
That's so scary!! Thank goodness your hubby saw the hawk!! There was once a hawk swooping high over dog park and I picked up Couver until I could no longer see it... you can't ever be too careful! :( |
