How do you get them to sit still? I have found it impossible to clip Luna's nails and to brush her. I always manage of course but it would be nice if she would sit still, I've brought the nail clippers and brush into our play so shes not afraid of it, she knows sit and stay. I am just out of ideas, anybody have any suggestions? Thank you so much! |
Do you have a regular grooming table with a noose on it? Usually dogs will stand pretty good to be groomed once they get use to the grooming table. The nails are easier to cut also if the pup is on the grooming table with a noose on it's head. For really squirmy dogs I sometimes will just walk around with them and cut their nails while that are distracted. For the really really squirmy dogs I have my husband hold them.:) |
I usually clip Daisy's nails while she is still wrapped up in a warm towel after her bath. I just make adjustments so that one paw or the other sticks out at a time. |
She needs to be up on something..grooming table.Counter top what ever elevates her to your level. She will sit still |
I didn't even think of that! Putting her on a counter... I've always just put her in my lap. Thank you all for the help! I'll be sure to try that out next time around. Oh how I love yorkietalk, you all are such nice people. Its great to be here |
