wyatt has not set his clock back Our time changed on Saturday night and Wyatt still remains on old time. He wakes me at 4:30 am every morning. I think he thinks it is 5:30 but the clock is right on my night stand next to the bed can't he see it is still the middle of the night? How do I teach him to tell time? Anyone else have that problem on the East Coast this time of year? |
LOL! Aw, Wyatt is just a little confused. ;) Funny... Jackson actually slept in with me on Sunday morning. He slept until 10:30am on Spring time, so technically it was now 9:30am, but he always wakes me up at 8am or earlier. I was quite shocked we slept in so late. He got let out a bit later than usual at around midnight, but other than that.... crazy! I wish it stayed, he's back at waking me up at 7am. |
Very cute, Wyatt is still learning he will figure it out, what you might want to try for a little bit is take him out later at night and pick up his water about an hour earlier eventually you can work it back to the normal time. :) Quote:

OHH my heart goes out to you. This was my first time zone change having Austin and I know what you mean. Today I think he got it right!!!! Tombstone is one of my favorite movies so I love your pups name. |
I'm so glad I am not alone in this. He seems to be the only one but he manages to get the other 3 up too. After my ear has been washed and my nose licked I find it impossible to get back to sleep. It's been a rough week. |
I'm fortunate Piper loves loves her beauty sleep. She hates waking up in the morning. When it's time to get up I literally have to scoop her out of bed and carry her outside to do her business. When she comes back in she'll run to her bed in the kitchen and curl up and go back to sleep for another couple of hours. |
I wish we would just stay in one time zone or another. Sweet Sophie is still getting us up earlier and she was an early riser to begin with. After we're full awake she goes into her little "den" for a little nap:dogzzz:,errrrr :tongue4:. |
Don't feel bad, Bella's timing has been off too! I guess they need to adjust just like us :) |
my dog wakes up earlier too; but she sits there and wait until i am awake. i think eventually they will get used to it; patience :) |
Hahahah same here!!! Snickers is asleep by 8pm and he won't wake up and then is up at 4:30 am sitting there staring at me and then sniffing my face to wake me up. He is sooooo stinkin cute, I just wake up and laugh. Then I give him a bellyrub and he is snoozing again. The time change is annoying!!!! Smiles- Snick & Viv |
Mine are looking for their food an hour earlier and Pixie is waking me up at 2:30 am instead of 3:30 am. I hate the change back, forward is better. |
Grrrrr.... Remy is doing this too He has ALWAYS been an early riser, this week more so with the hour change. 4:30 today!! and I am NOT a morning person  This morning I got him to settle back down until 5:30. His wake up time has probably posed the toughest challenge for me to date. Even at 5:30 that's just too darned early for me. I've not been able to figure out how to get him to sleep through.... He has gotten better, in that when he wakes up, if I rub his tummy he will curl up and go back to sleep for an hour or so. However when he wakes up the second time he is off the bed and ready to go out. It is impossible to get him to lay back down again. So, instead of having an accident, my butt gets out of bed :( He does not drink any water late in the evening and I usually try to get him out around 10pm for the last time, so I think he just loves mornings |
Jamie\'s clock has definitely not been reset yet. He woke me up Sunday morning at 6:00. Of course that makes his normal waking time of 7 seem pretty decent. Oh and he doesn\'t just come give kisses and snuggle to wake me up. Instead he races up and down the bed constantly and if that doesn\'t work he runs up and down ME! He thinks that just because the sun\'s up that he should be up. |
Kona adjusted her feeding times pretty good - but she still needs to work on the waking up time! She normally gets up at 7:30 but it has been 6:30 since Sunday morning. She will wimper until I get up so between the DH snoring on once side and her wimpering on the other I have no choice but to get up earlier. I take her outside and then we lay on the couch together until DH leaves for work. |
My two little furbutts have their internal clocks upset too. We usually get up at 5:00am DH has to be at work at 6. They are used to eating breakfast when we get up soooo....since Sun they are getting up and walking around on the bed at 4:00am. I hope how soon they adjust because that extra hr would be so nice.... |
