Donating to the less fortunate is TOTALLY the spirit of Christmas...I hope we bump this post up around Christmas time, and really follow through w/this...Of course, putting a big red bow around a new bully stick, toy, or pretty Christmas outfit is a good thing too :p |
You know we plan on getting Tootsie a new Coach collar, blanket & I recently purchased a St. Francis medallion for her..I couldn't resist and already put the medallion on her...LOL!!! But, after reading this post I think we will also make a donation to our local shelter~"TIS THE SEASON" |

I like to put just a couple things in the Christmas stocking so they can have it all and play trying to dig it out of the toe. If it is fun for them, then when you get the Christmas box out the next year, they remember that it is theirs and get very excited! This year I think I will take all the toys out of the toy box and replace them with a few new ones and see how long it takes Daisy to notice (Then she can have her old favorites back later) |

I am glad I read this thread. Armani will certainly get Christmas presents - not nearly as much as last year. We went overboard for her first Christmas and she really does not need anything but I love the idea of giving to a shelter or the ASPCA and I never thought of that. |
Don't forget to give any toys to the shelter that you pup just doesn't play with. Ours gets new toys all the time and just doesn't like some of them so those go to those in need. |
For the past 3 years we go to Gatlinburg for Xmas. We rent a cabin. This will be their first Xmas with us. We have three yorkies and of course they are going with us:D Wouldn't leave without them. I have them each a stocking with a couple of toys and doggy biscuits. We have 2 children also going. It is going to be a fun trip:xmastree1: |
