Yayyyy! I'm getting her!!! :happyboun Some of you may remember I asked awhile back for thoughts about getting an adult dog? Well, her name is Gazette (soon to be Gypsy), she is 2 1/2 yrs old, has her CH. and is absoutely the prettiest, sweetest little girl I've ever seen. And she's coming to live with me! I went to meet her today and was very impressed. She was naturally a little nervous but she let me pick her up and sat quietly with me, she's so sweet. She's very affectionate with her Mom and loves to sit on her lap so I think she will be just exactly what I wanted. She won't come home for about 3 wks. because she is scheduled to be spayed on the 14 and her owner wants to keep her at home for about a week after to make sure she is well on the road to recovery. I can't wait, I'm so excited!! |
yay!! i'm so happy for you!! congratulations!!! :D |
I remember. I'm so happy for you both. :D |
yay you...... do you mind me asking wy the 'owner' is letting her go? |
Yay I cant wait to see pictures of her. |
Congrads !!! its so much fun to have a yorkie to love. |
Orinskye, she had a litter of puppies and had to have a C-section, there were complications and so she has to be spayed. Since she can't use her in her breeding program she wants to find a good forever home for her. She turned down 2 other people who had come to see her before I did. |
Oh Grandma K, Congratulations , so happy that Gypsy is getting a "forever home" !! She should be named " LUCKY "...The best to the both of you. I'm sure she'll be a wonderful loving baby for you! :) |
Great news! Can't wait to see what she looks like! She sounds like she's coming from a very good home to another good home, she's a lucky girl! Enjoy!! |
Congrats to you...I'm so happy for you! Looking forward to seeing pics of your little sweetie!!! |
I have a picture of her in my computer that I took at the breeder's today but I can't figure out how to post it here. Can someone help me? :questione |

Is this your only yorkie? or do you have other "furkids" for her to play with? |
:) Orinskye, she is trained both to use a doggie door and also to use a pee pad. While I was there today she couldn't get to her doggie door because we had her in a different room and so she went and used the pee pad. Her breeder says that's what she used for them in hotel rooms and such when they were traveling for shows and things. She is my only yorkie but I also have a silky X male who is 12 1/2 yrs old. I think he will get along really well with her. He seems to be missing his sister (litter mate) who we just lost to cancer about 6 wks ago. |
awwwwwwwwww, im sorry.... i lost my golden last year, thats why we got toby.... so speaking from experience, yorkies are such good therapy ;) |
Yayyyy! Your getting her!!! I am so happy for you. Sounds like a pretty awesome girl. |
I am very glad for you . Hope to see pictures soon . |
Congratulations!! That's about the age of our Toto and it's a wonderful age! Can hardly wait to see pics and hear all about your new Yorkie baby!! ;) |
That's great news. You'll have to take lots of pictures when she gets home so we can see her. |

That is wonderful congrats. I'm so happy for you. |
2 Attachment(s) OK I'm going to try this. If it works the first picture is of my new baby Gazette (Gypsy) and the third is of my 12 1/2 yr old silky X Tango. Hope this works. |
 Yessssss!! It worked, thanks so much Michelle! I had one more of my little girl but I couldn't get it to the right size, the file was too big. Oh well, this will have to do for now. She looks a little bit ratty because she had her coat all trimmed back for the puppies, I guess it will take a while to grow out. Also when we came she was running around in the back yard so she was a little bit wet and straggly looking but I think she's beautiful just the way she is. I don't know how I'm going to wait until I get her home. Michelle, when you brought your Bitsy home did it take very long for her to get used to you? It sounds like she really bonded well with you though eh? I think I'm not going to let my husband pay any attention to her at all for a couple of weeks to make sure she decides I'm the nice one around here, lol. Thanks again Michelle. Kathy, Gazette (Gypsy) and Tango |
Oh Kathy, I JUST LOVE HER!!!! Your silky is beautiful as well!!! It took Bitsy a few weeks to adjust to her new surroundings but we bonded right away. Bitsy was VERY scraggly looking when I got her! She was used for breeding too and I'm not sure how "reputable" the breeder was. Bitsy had just finished nursing a litter of pups when I picked her up and she had big mats in her hair, some bald patches, and was very dirty. Quite pitiful looking but I knew she was a diamond in the rough :) I think she was left alone for long periods of time because she is really nervous when we get back from a long outing without her. I don't think you will have any problems bonding with little Gypsy :) She is just gorgeous!!! I just had a really good gut feeling about you and little Gypsy from the start and was so glad to hear you decided to get her!!! I think you will be thrilled with your little girl :) :) Can't express how excited I am for you!!! |
How sweet!!!! So glad you got her! I'm sure you will all be very happy! :congrats: |
She's really pretty and so is your silky! :) |
Both of them are very pretty, CONGRATS |
