What type do you use and where did you get them?
I'm thinking about getting a pair for Prince because sometimes I think he gets a little chilly.

The best ones I got came from Target. Alot of them cover up their pee area which isnt good if you let them out first thing in the morning

I saw some from kingwholesale.com that I was thinking about getting for Louis. They look really cute. They aren't expensive either.

I would just caution you to take careful measurements and order from someone who makes them from the measurements. If they are too tight, it makes them miserable. I also strongly suggest snaps...Gizmo hates velcro.

You also might consider a night shirt rather than pj's at first. Some pups tolerate those better. Happy shopping! :)

Forgot to add that I have two YT sellers I have purchased great pj's and nightgowns/shirts from. I really like both of them.

do your furbabies really get that cold at night?
or do you just need another excuse to dress them up in something?

i love putting derby in clothes when necessary or for an occasion,
but dog pajamas? it seems a bit "out there" to me.

can someone explain this to me? just wondering if there's something i'm missing.

You're welcome. The breeder I got Louis from suggested this site. I have ordered from there before, and the prices are very good. I think they look so cute with pajamas on. I want to get Louis the red thermal ones.

Pajamas are necessary to keep them warm.

to the OP i have some thermal one's from petland check there:D

In the winter time we keep our thermostat programmed so its lower during the day when DH and I are at work and also kept lower at night when we are in bed. I know Gizmo gets cold at night bc he will dig and dig until he gets under our blanket, but he will only snuggle in close with DH because of his body heat (he's like a furnace!). I worry about him getting too cold during the winter time at night......summertime not so much.

Actually, we live in Texas, and I would have to say that pajamas or nightgowns can be essential for small dogs such as Yorkies. Even if you don't believe in clothes for dogs, pjs might be a must for some.

For example....Kandi gets cold VERY easily. She has been known to shiver so hard that I've taken her to the vet thinking she might be ill. She just gets that cold. Pj's are an enormous help for that. It's not the only thing we do, but it's a pretty major part of it.

Also, when we have other dogs visiting, they can become so worked up that it gets a little out of control. By putting pjs on everyone, it keeps the situation much calmer and easier to control.

So, I would have to say that pj's are no more out there than dresses.

A lot of doggie pjs are made from soft fabric like flannel, which like a blanket is very cuddly and comforting to a yorkie. Also remember they are our furbabies, nothing is sweeter and more cuddly than a baby in onesies... whether human or furry!! :):thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I got mine from Gina, (Yorkiepup2) and we love them. She made them from my dog's measurements, I got to pick the fabric. :thumbup:

Ordering some more because Max outgrew his ones from last year.
Really...I love these! made well and wash well too!
Max is long and weighs about 7 pds. I need to get the size 5 this year.
Looks like his new baby brother will be getting hand me down PJs-LOL

I don't mind putting Derby in a shirt or a sweater or a coat because he's cold or needs an extra layer. I know that because we live in Canada, that he'll need booties to protect his paws from the salt/snow.

I think "dressing up" your dog everyday just because is a little silly, but it's cute to put them in a halloween outfit or something for 5 minutes lol Although I've never done it and probably never will.

Pajamas just seems so "extra" and unnecessary? but I guess we'll find out if Derby needs to keep a shirt on (or pajamas) once the temperature really starts to drop.

Gizmo just wears a loose tshirt when it gets cold, but Kandi needs the flannel in the pj's. She needs more warmth than the regular tshirt material.

Although you think "dressing up your dog everyday just because is a little silly" there are plenty of websites and stores selling dog clothes and not just for toy dogs such as yorkies but for large dogs such as labs....remember dogs are becoming substitute children for many and silly or not, people are paying money to buy clothes for there dogs. So don't knock it. It makes them and the many of the dogs happy.

I also got Bonnie some jammies this year. I was afraid she would get cold during the day when we were gone and the heat is turned down a little.
I got some adorable knit ones from Go Fetch, and some pink thermal ones from WalMart.com

Put thermo pj's on two of mine....the two senior girls. They refuse to snuggle in the sleep sacks I have. Chipper loves to dig into the sack and stays there all night. The girls are both on the skinny side, especially Cocoa since she struggles with EPI and keeping weight on.
