AM I lucky? We brought Jersey Boy home in early May and we tried some of the text book potty traing, bring him outside every hour, after eating, reward with treats and nothing seemed to work. Little piddles all over the house everywhere you walked a little piddle and little poops here and there, pee pads unused through out the house. I was forever walking around with a spay bottle and papertowels !!!Then one day I noticed no piddle in the house I was looking and looking, took a flash light looking in corners under furniture nothing (this may have been in August, can't remember). For the most part he goes outside an occasional accident and it's usually our fault for not listening to him. I really beleive he taught himself!!! I know for sure that he taught us LOL. I think he should start his own Potty School LOL!!!!!:):) |

That is great! |
As they get older they can hold it longer, so this helps. Having said this, you are very fortunate. |
I also have noticed less and less accidents too! Gizmo is almost 1 year old and with the consistency and rewarding I am so proud of him! Good job on all your work with your little guy!:D |

I think these little guys are smarter then we give them credit for. Winston was "trained" the very first day we brought him home, he never had a single accident. I think he knew from the beginning what we wanted from him, and he wanted to make us happy. Call me lucky, I don't know, I just think he's a very smart dog. |
