tut tut need a rant lol. well today i was at work and someone brought in a 7lb male yorkie saying she didnt want him anymore because he was to big!! she said she wanted one that wqas the size of mine! she only saw mine because they have a bed behind reception! i explained that you need to be experianced to own these tiny dogs and that breeders shouldnt breed yorkies this small, she asked why i had them , i replied, well i didnt expect Isabelle to be this tiny and i had Sapphire because i knew i had the experiance, time ect for her. i then asked the women why she wanted a small one, she said so she could dress it up like mine, i said i only dress mine because they dont mind it. she wanted hers as a fashion accessery. ill admit, i dress mine up and they are spoilt rotten but i dont carry mine everywere, yes i do when they are tired but they have 4 legs to walk on! sorry, people like that wind me up!! im going back to work in about a hour with me partner to decide if we are going to bring the male home with us or not, we were looking for a male, the women said she dont want him back ever and he is gorgeous lol. so who knows! but people like her shouldnt be allowed dogs! sorry for the long post and rant!!!!!!! |
seriously stupid! how dumb can people be! |
I love teapots! Let us know if you get him. Beware...He'll steal your heart!!!! Pfffft...Her loss someone elses gain. |
Obviously she isn't attached to him or should wouldn't have cared that he was bigger than she expected. Some people just shouldn't own pets. Hope he finds a loving and caring home either with you or with someone else who actually wants to love him. |

It amazes me how people don't research the care needed for a smaller yorkie. Then when the baby gets sick they can't afford to take it to the vet or for the treatments necessary. What in the world goes through some people's heads?! How has this become such a popular thing in our society? Dogs are not purses, they are loving creatures that they just throw away if they go out of style. Shame on her! Off my soapbox now...thanks for letting me vent. If you could get some pictures we'd love to see him. Can't wait to hear if you took him home. If not, we all understand that too. |

This is something that we tried to tell our daughter, but her head was someplace else. These little guys aren't accessories of any kind. They're sensitive little dogs that need as much care as any other kind of pet. She needs to be whacked on the side of the head. Maybe that would jar some things straight. Reesie is on my lap as I type this and I'm sure not making any fashion statement this morning! |
thats awful...my Jake is nearly 6lb and is only 11 weeks...there is no way a could give him away...I just love him 2 bits no matter how big he grew.... really hope u take him and give him a loving home :) |
thats so sad...i really hope you decide you can adopt him...sounds like he needs some love and attention. I also hope your colleague doesnt get another dog...she doesnt deserve one. :thumbdown |
I hope you get that yorkie I feel sorry for it. It takes a very shallow person to get rid of a yorkie because of size |
Its those kind of people feeding the market these tiny babies and encouraging bad breeders to put them at risk of been bred from. I feel sorry for any pup she gets as it'll never be truely loved and as soon as the fashion changes she'll no doubt dump it for the latest fad. |
Awww...poor baby. He's not even a teapot, he's well within the standard. It's horrible how uncaring people can be. I hope you can keep him and give him a true home. |
Awww...what a dumb lady! He's a little bigger than what she hoped for...so what, that just means there's more to love! She doesn't deserve him. |
While I am not saying the yorkie is overweight, I can't help wondering.. How would she feel if someone dumped her cause she became overweight? |
I just can't understand it. When I read about someone like that woman who would give up a their furbaby because they think its too big? I just cannot understand. 7lbs? 7lbs? Gosh, thats very small to me. Tila is 6lbs and she's a wee little girl. It makes me sad that someone would want to give up their dog because they thought it was too big, makes me want to cry. |
Sound like she wants a "toy" not a pet to love. It is best if she does give him up. She does not deserve the pup! Max is only 7 lbs and I can not imagine anyone saying he is to big! There are never guarantees on "size". You love the pup because you love them. Not the SIZE of them. |
