Different types of barks Chachi has a different bark depending on where he is and what he is doing. When her is inside and playing he has what we call a girly bark. When he is outside he has an earpiercing authoritive bark. Sometimes when he plays he also has a howl bark. Do your dogs have different types of barks? |
Princess has a I'm playing bark, And she has a someone's at the door bark! I love the play bark, but the door bark OUCH, It's got to change, who ever is at the door thinks she's a big dog, & just laugh when I open it. I even had a pizza guy run down the stairs, because of her bark. LOL, the look on his face was too funny when he saw her. :D |
How funny! I have had people back away from Chachi when he barks too and its so funny. I dont know what they think a 7 lb dog is gonna do to them. |
barks my chewie is 4 months old today and i have only heard him barks once ..that was at his frustration of not being able to play with the cat who was on the other side of the french doors. when he's in his crate he doesn't cry or bark he just jumps up and down :aimeeyork |
When Muffin was in another room and she started barking, you could usually tell if she saw someone or was just barking at something she saw go by. We could usually tell her different barks. Now, Kacee isn't vocal at all. At least, not yet. We seldom hear a bark out of her. |
Toby has a "playing bark" that is ANNOYING AS HELL because it is his loudest. He also has a "whos there? wuff" that is very low and quick (just to let people wlaking down below our apartment that he is here) and he also has a protective bark (this one we have to watch... it kind of scares me.... i know he is trying to protect me, but still.... i am a deep sleeper and toby will get into 'protect mode' and stand on me and growl and bark like he is trying to tear your face off............ hes done this to my fiance when he has come to bed after working late.....ide have to say this bark is the "scariest" because he means buissness.............. oh and he also does 'pay attention to me wuffs/whines/huffs/' |
Cooper is the king of barking in our house. If Carter is in the bed with me (he uses the chest at the foot of the bed to get up and Cooper can't figure it out yet) and Cooper is on the floor, he has a distinctive bark - somewhat shortened in duration and not forceful - if he wants up too. If he wants Carter to get down and play with him, its a totally different language. It is sooo funny. If Cooper wants to get off the bed, he has another bark. Yet another type bark is the "I'm gonna get ya" bark that he uses when he hears a strange noise or thinks he hears/sees something. Carter actually "talks" to me. Its not a bark at all. :) |
Whats really funny is my 3 have 3 completely different barks! Lexi's is the shrill annoying bark, Max's is a really deep bark and Tia's is a muffled sounding bark! |
This is funny, because it's so true. Chewy's barks are different for different situations - My bowl is empty, I'm locked behind a door, The Boy is annoying me, I want to come up on hte couch... It's all so cute! |
