he cries!!! my Yorkie Yoda is AWESOME! however he is being crate trained. He does great. When he is in there he has no issues what so ever! anyone can walk into the room and he does not make a peep. Only when I walk in there he begins to cry. His crate is in my room. I would hate to cover it up completely to where he can't see anything. But when my baby cries oh Lord you would think someone was in there hurting him physically. Any ideas? Michelle  |
You need to put the crate in another room then! :);) |
Pixie does the same thing! I have a 10 week old Yorkie and she is in the ex-pen with a pee pad and dog bed when I can't watch her and when she hears my voice she SCREAMS like someone is killing her. If you are keeping your baby in the crate most of the day you could try and ex-pen they seem so much happier in it. I crate Pixie at night by my bed and she is so good, as soon as I put a blanket on top she goes right to sleep. I don't know if you are house breaking or pad training, we have to pad train first bc it is too cold in CT right now. Make sure you give your lil one some exercise time as well. I know all too well that horrific sound when they scream to get their own way it just breaks your heart. Good luck! :animal36~Joyce |
he cries only when he sees me. I don't know if it's for attention from me or what |
When we were crate training, I used to tap on the crate and tell her no no sternly when she would cry. It always made her settle down. I put her right by my bed too so that she was near me. Another trick you could try is use a can with pennies in it and everytime she gets all worked up in the crate, shake the can. A lot of dog trainers recommend that for stopping unwanted behavior. |
Bella Does Crate Time We always cover Bella completely when we put her in the crate. We found she sleeps better. She's in our room. |
