Prayers for Apple's Spay Tomorrow
 
I seriously considered not spaying Apple, and then made the decision to spay her at 18 months, but her upper canine teeth haven't come in, and she's a year old, so it's time to do both...All you prayin' mamas, please pray for my little Apple...I have all the faith in the Vet, but I know who is, ultimately, in charge, and that's why I'm asking you to pray...I love her so much, and don't want to see her in any pain, so please pray for very little pain (if any) for my sweet little girl...As soon as she is up to it, Apple and I are thinking about adding an older brother to our family (a rescue)...So please be in prayer for "him" too...Thanks so much, and I'll keep you posted, tomorrow...Lynn, from YorkieHavenRescue has kindly agreed to be on "stand by", if I need her to come to my house and help me w/Apple, because it's been so many years since I've been through this...I'm so thankful for YT and all the support I find here....Thanks :)

Wow, I must be nervous lol...I said her upper canine teeth haven't come in, and I meant that she has the adult and the baby upper canine teeth, so the baby ones have to come out...The vet said because the root is so long, they have to make a small incision and then do a stitch...Poor little thing, her tummy and her mouth are both going to be sore :(

she will be fine, i remember when i got jasmin spayed, i couldn't sleep just thinking about her...she was good the next mornig and she is doing great....you are in my prayers tho, good luck and keep us posted:animal-pa

It's 6:30 a.m., and we'll be leaving for the vet in about an hr. or so...thank you all so much for your prayers, and thank you all that will be praying...She doesn't understand why she's not getting her breakfast :(...Wow, I just don't understand how these little ones have all four paws wrapped around our hearts in such a tight grip...They are truly amazing...

I will be sending positive thoughts your way. Keep us posted. Our little Bella just had teeth removed and she would only eat cottage cheese. Now she is addicted and it's her FAVORITE treat of all her treats. She earns a tablespoon a day if she eats all her kibble. I worried so much about her not eating after surgery but she wolfed down the cottage cheese and ignored yogurt. Good luck!

The Vet Says She O.K.!!!
 
Apple's vet just called and said Apple was just waking up and everything went off perfect...Oxygen levels and all the other numbers were perfect during the whole thing...She said Apple was a real little trooper...I pick her up in about 4 hrs....Of course they really want to keep her overnight, but I have never been away from her, overnight, since she became my little Boo Boo Baby lol...Anyway, we're supposed to have big thunderstorms and lightening, tonight, and she's scared of that, so she needs to be w/her mommy...Thank you all, so much, for your prayers...I know you'll think this was a strange time to do her spay, but it's her birthday, Saturday!!!! (It was a scheduling thing w/my work) So we'll be wishing her Happy Birthday then lol...thanks again, for the good vibes and all the prayers....:D

It's scary I know but you certainly did the right thing for her and
her health..

OMG'sh...you guys are the best!!!...Thank you for all the well wishes...Apple is home, resting on her big fluffy goose down pillow!!!...she was very restless and whiny, when we first got home, then she, literally, peed a river, and has now settled down...I'm sure the whole IV must have been in that pee pee...Bless her little heart...She was so glad to see me, when I picked her up that she really moved around too much...I had a "yorkie" friend go with me, so she could drive and I could hold my little girl on my lap on the ride home...Whew, I'm so glad to be home, and so glad it's over...Dr. Runge gave me Apple's two canine teeth (for her baby book :D)...Thanks again for all your prayers, and I look forward to a speedy recovery for my little girl, and then maybe it's time to get a brother :p
