OK, I give, I'm finally posting
 

This is my 1st time posting. We live on a boat on the Mississippi River over 6 mo. of the year so I don't get to get on my computer more than a couple of times a week & it takes forever to catch up on all of the informative (& entertaining) posts you all have here. But I didn't want anyone to think I was too stuck up to post anything. We picked out our baby on Easter Sunday & we are head over heels in love with her. She is the result of some sort of pre-menopausal midlife crisis on my part. (I really identified with the poster the other day who was menopausal & had to chase after her dog w/a fly swatter--I laughed my you know what off) We had to have some kind of nautical name so we came up with the name "Yachtsea". It was either that or "Bobber" or "Undertow" (my daughter's fav.) She's rapidly risen up the ranks and is now the undisputed captain of our vessel. Even my old salt of a husband is reduced to baby talk around. her. There was going to be no sleeping in our bed, no people food, no bows, no cutesy outfits, etc. That lasted a couple of weeks!! I have learned so much on this site. Every time I have a question I just search the archives & there is a wealth of info.. If I could learn to post a pix I'd put up one of her & my granddaughter w/ matching tiaras. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Not even sure if I'm doing it right. Probably won't be able to post often because of time but who knows?

Ahoy Matie and welcome! My H would want to live with you ...he has wanted to live on a boat since we got married. He is a sailor and we sail in the summer. I have Cap'n Hef in fact!! He has a crew of Princess Chai and Diva baby Ava along with my westie Billie and my poodle Jet. They all love to sail.

And the name is so cute and so creative...Yachtsea is perfect! I can tell you have a snese of humor and hope you can post often. What about wireless or satellite?

For now we leave the computer home for our daughter & granddaughter who live w/us. We have new marina owners & they did away w/the satellite hookup we had. We have a 43' 1960 Chris Craft Motoryacht. Our 1st home 30 yrs. ago was a trailer not much bigger than this boat! What do you have? We tried to get an introductory sailing lesson several weeks ago while on vacation but the guy that was going to do it was also a fireman and had to do the firefighting thing. As if that's more important than boating?!? The only problem we've encountered w/Yachtsea while boating is that we had to ban her from the beach for awhile. She eats too much sand. It's not much fun in the middle of the night to be up with a puppy who's pooping sand castles!!

Welcome, so glad that you decided to post. Love you yorkies name. I'm Sheila I have 2 yorkies Mollie 1 1/2 years old and Wyatt 9 weeks also have a 14 1/2 year old Shih Tzu and a 5 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab. Dog poor at my house.
