Can't believe it!!!!! My little Luigi had his 1st peepee accident in the house in over a month. I think it was my fault because we were playing longer than usual ( he got new toys today) and his fishy landed up on the couch and he jumped up to get it and OOOPS! He must have known he did wrong cuz he jumped down and ran to the door, we went out and he finished his business outside. We came back in and he ran into his cage and layed down. Usually he runs over to where the treats are. I feel so bad :( ! I tried to lure him out of his cage but he wouldn't budge. He's sleeping now.  |
:( aww, i'm sorry. i know how you feel. although i've only had bux since sunday, we hadn't had one accident yet and he was doing so well....as soon as we'd go outside, he would do his thing, then jump up on my leg to let me know he was ready to go back inside, well, last night my boyfriend is watching him while i was studying, and he took his eye off of him, and there ya have it...he accidentally let out a little poop...i was so upset at my boyfriend and poor bux felt so bad. he tried to hold it. anyway, don't worry, i'm sure he's not sad, he is just really tired from playing w/ all of his new toys!! just wanted to know i was in the same boat!! |
toby gets really guilty when he has an accident too...... he actually "tells" you because he has that really guilty demeener when he comes up to say "sorry"....... we ask "what did you do???" and he cringes......:p we have trained him to pee pee on pads |
Guilt?? I don't think this is one of those feelings Sydnee is going to acquire, but its only been 3 days of trying to teach her. I have tried sitting her down on the p pads but she will stop what she is doing long enough to play with them and then pick her spot on the carpet. How old was everyone's babies when they accomplished what I think is going to be the impossible. A good note though she slept through the night...yeah Viki |
Sophie has NO guilt for doing her business on the carpet. It is aggrevating, but she is still young, so I guess we will keep trying to teach her. This is interesting....three boy dogs feel guilty for having accidents and so far two girl dogs feel no guilt. Hmmm, I wonder if there is something that? Anyone else? |
Mistakes no matter what age they are... I really think that these little Yorkies no matter what age and how long they have been going to their correct little potty areas we designate for them they still, once in a while are gonna mess up. :D I recently purchases a beautiful rug for our dining room. Just this past week I noticed Schatzie doing her little potty squat on it. I was like "Schatzie, this is NOT your potty pad, it might look like it to you, but it's Mommy's pad and you are not to rest your little bottom on it and pee-pee" And proceeded to take her to "her" pad. So after hours spending shampooing my new rug I think she has been ok. But I wont say that too loud as she might just pee on it again if she hears me. :( |
LOL this thread just cracks me up You know it is funny how they "KNOW" when they do that isn't it? I mean no matter how long I take Pita out, weeks and weeks go by then one day he decides forget it, and just pees right there looking at me. And wait, as if that isn't bad enough he moves over and stands there looking at it, and waits for me to clean it up!!! Then he sniffs the area and moves on to whatever it was he was doing!! LOL I never yell at him, but when I say... what diiiiiiiddddddd yyoooooouuuuuu doooooooo LOL he just hangs his head like he KNOWs that he did a no no. Maybe they test us? Maybe they are looking for the boundries of behavior? Like... ok, I did this, she did that, what is in my future? LOL I scold lovingly only, and he doesn't do it again for a pretty good while. |
