Stolen Maltese from PetLand
 
A couple stole an $1800 Maltese from our new Petland. I hate that pet stores still sell dogs in windows. UGH.

The dog is probably being very babied and cared for but this couple is going to jail for stealing a dog from a company that loves backyard breeders :(

Well .... since these dogs can go for upwards of over a thousand dollars that can amt to Grand Larceny

The dog is property...just like a tv. If this couple stole a tv then they would go to jail.

We need to change the laws so we don't have places like Petland that get their puppies from mass producers.

Dogs are not product and we need to keep getting that message out.

Maybe we can just consider that doggie was rescued from god knows what!! I always find myself looking at those poor babies in Pet Store windows....they always look so drugged up and sickly! :( Especially the Yorkies, and poeople that know nothing are amazed how small and quiet they are....they just think it's the greatest thing!! I so badly wanna say to them that they are nothing like this when they are healthy! They are quite the oppisite.....quick, whitty and full of life!! Pet stores shouldn't be allowed to sell anything living!! Just provide the supplies!!

I thought the same thing. That little baby is hopefully in a much happier home now.

The puppy won't stay, that camera is pretty high tech, they will be found, prosecuted and the poor pup will back in that dreaded store :(
