I think I've finally found my puppy!!
 
I hope I am not jinxing myself. I am sooooo excited. I have searched for so long. I have looked at countless websites and ads. Anyway, I found a lady with 4 left in her litter of 7 (a little cautious because the best ones are always taken first, right?). She has 1 male and 3 females. Since I am undecided I think this is great!! She is offering full AKC registration, a health guarantee, shots, deworming, tails docked, dewclaws removed and they were born 9/7 so he/she will be ready to go home when I planned on bringing him/her home right before Thanksgiving!! And she is located between my home and my job so I can pick him or her up right after work before my vacation!

I will be visiting them at her home on Tuesday. :) :) :) :) (they are off to the vet on Monday for shots).

I have so much to do now that I am getting closer. Any advice on what to look for when I visit and what types of questions I should ask (that I haven't already covered here in this message)?

(I just couldn't wait to share-I hope I am not putting my cart before my horse, lol).

I am still undecided on whether or not I want to breed (this is probably going to open up a can of worms). I would hate not to get full registration and then wish I had gotten it later. I noticed that most breeders that show their pets are very, very strict on giving out full registation. I understand this and the reasons why. If I do decide to breed, I will get as much information as possible from the best of the best and be sure to do plenty of research (trust me, I am learning new things every day because I am researching every day).

Names are always hard for me. I even had a hard time picking a name for my own daughter!! My sister-in-law helped me out on that though. :)

I found a list of names on this site for girls but haven't located a list for boys yet.

The girl names that I like are Bella (too many pets by that name though-but it is very pretty), Makayla (its different), Isabella, Jasmine, Cassie and Lexi. :confused: :confused: :confused:

But, I don't want to have a hard time finding things with her name on it...

For boys...any ideas?

No, no can of worms......just asking.....You'll need alot of education and someone's help. Hopefully your new breeder will mentor you. Since you are not only buying a pup, but a mentor.....that's the way it should be when buying a breeding pup.

It's just that no reputable breeder would let a yorkie go with full registration, unless it is going to be Championed and comes from a great pedigree (and I'm not saying the one you choose isn't). But, if you do plan to breed the pup, for your own sake, I suggest that the pup is 6 months of age before bringing it home.

6 months old? There is a lot that I want to teach my puppy. I don't want to wait until it is 6 months old to start training. I've seen videos of pet owners applauding or laughing at bad behavior like its cute. I'm not saying that the breeder I picked is not a good trainer but I don't know her. Even reputable breeders, although may have been in the business for many years, had to start from the bottom before rising to the top. If I decide to breed, I will choose someone that knows what they are doing that I trust to guide me. Thank you for your advice.
