So poud of Snickers !! I guess it pays to have other dogs that are house trained, it has sure helped train Snickers it only took a few weeks.. Now she will go to the door when she needs out! I love it!! They are all on a schedule so that may also be why it was easy to train her. Has anyone else been able to train them so easy? I heard it was hard but she seamed to catch right on to it. |
My two were not that hard, only time was an issue, but Lacey, my second, was definitely easier because she followed Chloe. My problem with Lacey is that if she needs to go outside at another time, she will come to me, look up, walk a few steps, then look back to see if I am following, then walk another few steps, until we get to the door. Chloe comes to me, barks and goes for the door. Sometimes, I just don't get the "look" and will not take her out, then its oops. On the other hand, having one that is quiet most of the time is a plus too. |
Way to go Snickers! Yea, Princess was really easy, Everyone said Yorkies took a long time, But our Rotti showed her how it works. She's been just great! |
Yep, I too have noticed the puppies follow the "big dogs" out and watch them and get the idea much faster than if they are just by themselves. One more reason to have more than one Yorkie (as if you need and excuse). |
We have a doggie door. I got Rebel the first part of July and got the doggie door the first part of August. It has been amazing. I very seldom have accidents in the house anymore and I love that. They go whenever they want and it's been GREAT! Took Rebel 2 days to figure out how the door works. |

They are in and out all day. Too bad it's to small for Mandy our Rotti, I just leave the door open for her. It's amazing, the carpets are smelling good again! :D |
Im so happy for you and Snickers. Bravo  . I think some are easier than others to housetrain. I live in an apartment building if not I would have try the doggie door, it seems to have work for some. Gucci uses the pee pads, thou. |
