My mom was wanting him . I showed her a picture of him . But she just cant come up with the money right now. I sure hope he finds the home he deserves. poor little guy. |
When a Yorkie is surrendered to a rescue there is no money paid for him. So, YorkieShadow, you might still be able to work out something. I have just taken on 2 males to re-home. ! will go to Sophies Isle of York Rescue and the other male will be sold..but, you can believe she is not gonna get much for him.. Anyhow, I just so hope that he can be placed without going back to the breeder. That sounds like a step backward if he is going there and then someplece else. A lot of moves for such a little guy.. Give him smoochies from Rini's cuties.. |
UYR is a very good organization...I support them and am real picky on where I send my $$!! The lady that wants to adopt him, is she part of UYR? If so, UYR will set up a puppy transport to get him from point A to B. There are people that do this on the weekends (some during the week). One will start out, then meet the next at a certain location to hand off pups and so on...until the pup reaches it's furever home. Thumper is beautiful!! I wish I were closer..he looks just like my mother's yorkier named Max. |

I'm sure your mom would love Thumper! Is there anyway it can be worked out???? :) |
We don't care about the money for Thumper. We just want him to be in a safe and loving home, but I really think he needs to be with someone that has experience dealing with special needs dogs. He scares everyone away when the come through our door. He sounds frightening. He has never bitten anyone(he did get me once but I was reaching for Tori, our 5 year old and I think he was trying to protect her) but we have not really given him the chance to bite. The lady in Maryland sounds really ideal and I am waiting to hear back from her. In the mean time we are falling in love with Thumper and dread him having to make another transition. If it wasn't for having people come in and out of our house all day long, I think he would be fine. But I am afraid maybe he will bite my 5 year old when he is actually trying to protect her and I can not take the chance. I do feel like I have failed Thumper and am going to do my best to get him placed in a forever home. Rescueing dogs is not for me and I have the highest respect for the people that do. They are heros in my book!!! |
