I know there are rules about this so I posted what I need to say on my profile page...I think that's what you call it. It's on the page for visitor's messages.

Please take a second and read the message and act.

I know our friend would never attempt this for herself or her son so I'm butting in...LOL

Now, to make it a real legitimate post, anyone have any suggestions about what is the next thing I need to teach Taffy?

I've done sit and lay down but don't have a clue as to what should naturally come next. (If you've caught my earlier thread about the impression she gave the instructor in puppy class, you know that I'm planning to try to knock his socks off this week with how smart she is! Frank and I both got the impression he doesn't rank Yorkies as high as he should...LOL) Anyway, I'll try to adjust my attitude before the next class because if I go in there to show her off, she probably won't do anything. We have found out though that the girl loves recess!

And, by the way, thanks for acting on the above stuff.

I never have figured out how people get their thread titles to appear in bold!

Somebody needs to teach me...LOL

That is a good question. I thought they just automatically showed up as bold. But there are a few here and there that are not bold. When I click on your post, it is in bold at the top of the page. But it is not in bold on the list of threads page. Hmmmmm....

I keep hoping I'll figure it out but I haven't yet but that's not too surprising I guess.

I want to take a Halloween photo of Taffy to enter in that contest but I don't know if I have the patience. I certainly don't have the knowledge to play around with the background.

I think I'm going to have to end up buying one of those Idiot books ...er I mean Dummies. I'm not even sure I have the software I need...

As far as tricks go the two that I am glad that mine learned are stay, and come... the only thing is that Copper will only stay and Maddie will only come:rolleyes: haha I have to tell him to stay and then go and grab him if I want him to come, and there is no making Maddie stay anywhere:p but if i tell her to come she is right there in a flash lol

I thought about that "come" command but Taffy is always by me to begin with...LOL

Seriously, I'm perplexed over how to even lay the groundwork on that one.

She's doing "lay down" really good except sometimes it crosses over to the "playing dead" mode.

But by golly, the girl has "sit" perfectly! But you are right, she needs to know come and stay.

Guys, my guess is that the visitor message will be expired by noon or perhaps a bit earlier so please don't delay.

It is so appreciated and YT has really made a tremendous difference in the last couple of hours...woo hoo!

On a Yorkie note, the household was sleeping wonderfully until the pest control guy called to schedule the termite inspection. Grrrr...maybe the next thing I need to teach Taffy is how to ignore phone calls that wake us up when we've only slept a very few hours!

Everyone have a great weekend! Looks like we're in for more rain so ours will be soggy...

Little things like that bold or not bold thread title drive me crazy because I can't figure it out! (Makes me feel really old and out-of-tune because when I was still teaching, I stayed on top of technological stuff. Now, I feel like a dinosaur.)

On another note...he's doing great! Woo Hoo, I knew if our YT friends knew about this in time, they would help. I just love this community!

From what I can tell, you can. It doesn't kick you out or anything and each time a different code appears for entry.

Oh, guys, he is sooooo close!

I just get chill bumps when I think about his Dad not being there to see him play but really being there if you know what I mean.

Cancer robs so many people of loved ones. It is such a vile disease.

His Dad was such an important part of his sports that I think this award would mean so much to him. He's such a good kid. (Well, granted I haven't met him in person but I can just tell...LOL)

I can help you with your question on why some titles are in bold; they are in bold when you haven't read the last posts. For example, let say you open a thread that was bold titled, and go back to the forum it would then appear with a regular title until someone else posted. The bold feature just informs you of new posts.

Lol, your post reminds me of Joey's tricks training class, I didn't get the impression that Joey's instructor liked Joey, and it motivated me to work harder with him. Training was done several times a day every day, and the little guy did will in class, and finally won her over!

I voted, and I just wanted to remind people to vote for number three!

Thank you so much for explaining that "bold" stuff to me. That has bothered me for months now...I just couldn't understand it!


Now for the disappointing news...I explain in greater detail on my profile page if you have time to read it.

Suffice to say, our young man didn't win. Turns out it was over before we started our push.

However, we could have made it happen if we'd known in time!

Thanks to all who participated. I'm still dumbstruck that the voting was still possible AFTER it ended! I have never seen that before anywhere!
