throwing up, allergies? Ok I will start at the beginning.........Monday night Buttons threw up, late in the night. The next morning she acted ok, ate, and was pretty much herself. I went to work, had someone go by my house later to check on her, and she had thrown up some more. I got off work early and took her to the vet. Her belly had red places on it, her head and her ears really red (but she has chronic ear problems) They did blood work and it came back fine. The doctor thinks it is some type of allergy, we just do not know what yet. She put her on the hyproallergic food and gave her a cortizone shot. OK, well yesterday she did fine didnt throw up. She ate just a little of that food, but not alot. Last night at supper I gave her some green beans and a few french frys (vet said I could give her green beans, carrots, potatoes, no meat) Well at bedtime, she threw it all up. Has anyone experienced this before? I am going home at lunch and it she has done it again, I will be going back to the vet. Please anyone let me know what you think. worried mom |

how old is your dog? is your dog throwing up bile, undigested food, or digested food? I was always told from a vet that dogs typically don't get allergies until they are 1 yr old or older..... |
Ive never heard of allergies making them throw up. Did he do a skin scrape and check for mites? |
She will be 2 in November. Last night her food was not digested. She may spit up a little bit of white clear looking stuff afterwards, but not much. I am wondering if that was too much for her tummy since she had been sick. Plus I read potatoes is an inflammatory and then I read somewhere else it is ok to give them............so I am just confused and worried too. |
They didnt do a scrape......dr said if her skin is inflammed on the outside and it was plus her ears really red, she said her tummy could be irritated too |
