Missing 6 mos Rambo!! I was going absolutely crazy! My baby was missing for 1 1/2 hrs. I let him outside with my husband and called for him and my husband replied he was with him. Half an hour later I asked my husband where was Rambo? We couldn't find him inside or out. I was crying so bad and at the same time I wanted to kill my husband for not bringing him in when he came inside:thumbdown. Finally, my husband was on the road and a car stopped and asked are you looking for a dog? He said yes and the girls asked what kind of dog. Bill said a Yorkie and they said they found him six houses down the road.:D Imagine, he took off walking down the road and thank God he wasn't run over by a car.:animal-pa That was an hour and a half later. The girls had time to post signs for a missing puppy. The girls went home and brought him back, thank God. I will never let him outside unless he's penned in or tied up. A VERY DIFFICULT LESSON TO LEARN. Thank yous to WHOEVER'S up there watching over us.:pKudos to the two girls!! |
You were so lucky. Years ago Chipper got outside and nobody even knew he was missing. I happened to go in the kitchen at 10:00 PM and glanced towards the sliding glass door and there was Chipper on the other side looking in! I thought he was in my son's room sleeping on his bed and had no clue he wasn't in the house. I was so lucky that nothing happened to Chipper that night. |
im glad u got him bk |
Oh man that had to be the most sickening feeling. so glad you found him. |

Wow, those girls deserve a reward! I'm so glad he's home and safe. |
Yep, those girls would be in for some Brownies from this Texas gal. Your story was like a light bulb went on behind my eyes. My hd doesn't pay close enough attention. I just can't chance having to replace my hd if he lost Baby. |
That is a scary story. I'm so glad things turned out okay. Mine got loose once and ran across hte street and all I could think of was the big dog next door that runs around the neighborhood. Luckily he was not out. So scary! |
I am so glad you found your baby. That was nice of the people who found him to post signs and try and find the owner. Did you give them a reward? |
thank god you found him.. |
Saturday night I received a call from someone who had found Puddie ... his tag simply reads "I'm Lost" and has my cell number on it. I was outside and didn't have the cell - and was surprised to see I had missed a call. It was a neighbor, only lives 3 doors down, but she didn't know he was mine. He was panic struck; she'd given him a treat and water, then put him in the only cage she had - a Hav-A-Heart for trapping raccoons - to wait for someone to call back. She has Yorkies herself, but didn't know if his shots were up to date or not. He didn't quit shaking for a good 1/2 hour. I was amazed ... I didn't know he was gone either. He probably slipped out when my daughter went out the door. If it hadn't been for his tag, the neighbor wouldn't have know to call. He's chipped, but you have to take him to a vet for that. I know there are many folks who don't like collars, but if he hadn't had one on with a tag, I don't know what would have happened. His collar is loose - he could back out of it if it got snagged; Bella's is a loose-fitting, break-away cat collar. Both of them have harnesses for when they go out ... their leashes are never attached to the collar. But the collar gives me a place to put tags - and their bells. A side benefit to Puddie's wanderings: he's been *exceptionally" cuddly since he got back home ;) |
Oh how scary!! I'm so happy you got you're baby back!!! |
How terrifying! Good thing for the collar! Like you, we keep one on Sophie for the tag and the bell! Give him a hug from Sophie! |
