Really attached? So I was at Disneyland last night.. I left around 9 in the morn and didnt get home till about 12:30 Well DH got home at 5 and he said Peanut was looking for me alll around the house, DH took Pnut for a walk and he said after that he was acting a little better.. Till bed time DH said Pnut kept wanting up and down off the bed, he keep going to the front door, pacing back and forth on the bed, standing on my pillow, every noise he heard outside he ran to the door.. he said Peanut was acting like a nut! I feel so bad.. Did he really miss me that much to wear he was acting that crazy??? I wonder what he was thinking?? When I got home all the lights were off and he ran to the door, it was really dark and I didnt say anything to him and he started barking and growling at me!! haha then I said "its your momma" and he started to whine and jump on me!! Does any of your babies act like this when you are not there, like if they are left with DH or someone else? |
:D:D:rolleyes:;):cool::):(:eek: anyone? |
Once I went to Florida for a week and DH and DD took care of the girls. They said Kalina slept on the floor in front of the door or on my bed the entire time. She ran to the window every time she heard a car, etc. It was heartbreaking hearing about it because Kalina and I are really bonded. Matty Lu, on the other hand, was fine with me being gone. :D |
Oh yes! Although Tatum has plenty to keep her busy (kids, other animals) while I'm gone, she definitely notices it and my husband tells me that she watches for me. She knows what time I should get home each evening also. My husband even tells me that she watches out the window and barks before I'm even in sight of the house (long country driveway). |
yes! I went on a long weekend trip to Idaho to see my dad and my DH said that Gunnar kept looking out the front window for me. Every time a car door shut he ran to the window. Gunnar didn't want to leave the living room (with the front window), so my DH stayed on the couch and Gunnar slept in his little bed next to the couch. I had a nice greeting when I got home and he didn't leave my lap. :D Donna |
My Jada is that way. If DH gets home from work before I do he says Bogie and Jada meet him at the door barking and jumping and when Jada see's its him not me, her little head drops and she mopes off like...oh its only daddy!!:(LOL Then he says she gets up on the couch with him and sits on a pillow looking at the door until I get home...I'm glad she loves me and I know she loves DH too cause she lays on his lap if he's watching tv. He says its just so sad to see her disappointed when its not me at the door. |
Aww I was just making sure Peanut is the only one that is EXTREAMLY ATTACHED LOL to his mommie!! Its really crazy how these lttle guys get soo attached! I feel bad that DH wasnt good enough for Peanut lol!! Bc when I am home alone with Peanut and DH isnt home... Peanut doesnt care! |
I fetch my niece from school on Fridays, normally they have to stay home but as my nephew was off we took Alfie. I left him at the gate with Conner and all I could here was Alfies protests as I walked away. |
yes!! On sunday we went to a wedding and I left Maxi with my mom, which he sees everyday. Well we came home late and in between my mom kept sending me texts saying that Maxi would lay down in front of the door waiting for me to come home and every noise he heard in the house (the upstairs doors being opened and closed) he thought was me and he would bark. He refused to go to sleep too! Well, when I came home he jumped all over me!! It was cute but I felt bad that he worried so much about me. |
One time i left Pasquale at my parents house for them to babysit for a weekend. They said if he wasnt in his crate..he was up on the bay window waiting for me to come home. They said I should have seen his reaction when he saw the car pull up!! He's such a momma's boy!!! |

mine's that way more with DH than me. she gets excited at the door no matter who it brings to meet her tho. she hears him key in and she goes nuttso for him coming home and runs to the door to greet him home. she does the same with me as well if i'm coming home to both of them. she's always greeted both of us at the kitchen baby gate when we come home to her alone by herself. she stands up on that gate and jumps and hops back and forth until you go pick her up and then kisses and wails her arms like a mad woman. i know i have to discourage the excitement for other people, but i LOVE it and want those kisses and wiggles so much. |
Oooh how was your trip? On topic: I can't even go to the store and grocery shop for a few hours. Luna loves my little sister so I always leave her with her but she crys and crys and just makes herself crazy like I'm gone forever. I try to stay home as often as possible but when the kitchens empty theres really no choice. Too bad wal mart wont let us yorkie moms take our babies with us :C |

When I watch my friend's toddler I'm not sure who is more jealous and competing for my attention... Sugar or the baby  |
Yup! BF tells me how they don't even greet him when he comes to my house, they run past him and stare out the door until I get there. Its sad sounding. I do love that they miss me, but I hope they are happy though after awhile if I'm not there. |
This topic is so funny. I am so bonded with my Coco. Sometimes she won't eat unless i'm there. I'm afraid to go anywhere. We are trying to plan a weekend trip to Disney this weekend and are searching out dog friendly places to stay. My hubby hates that are traveling has come to a hault:( |
Uni does it too! A few years ago we went to vegas for a few trade shows that were back to back. We were gone for almost 2 weeks! My MIL said everytime Uni heard a car drive by she would run to the door and wait there, but we never came in. She said she would cry at the door. When we finally cam home, we opened the door (by this time she probably thought we had abandoned her) and she was on the back of the couch looking at us like, Is it really them??? Her head and ears were down but her tail was going crazy! After a few minutes of hugs and kisses she knew we were home for good! I missed her like crazy, like I was gonna be sick if I didn't see her soon, I only wonder how SHE felt! |
Oh yes - both of my boys are like that! When my husband leaves for work every day, Joey and Tank (but mostly Joey) go to the patio door and watch as their daddy leaves them, and then the crying begins... Then...when I get home at night, they are so excited - they jump all over the place, run laps around the living room, and come give me kisses till I have to get away from them to say hello to my husband, haha. I try SO hard not to make comings and goings a big thing, but they are the ones who get so overexcited about it. They both do have pretty severe separation anxiety (they are home alone about 7 hours monday through thursday, and about 5 hours on fridays), and it's very rough on us all, as I try everything to make it not a big deal, but they still freak out. |
Our Sophie misses both of us when we leave, too. When DH leaves for work she runs to the stairs and gives him kisses every morning and waits for him on top of the couch looking out the window every evening until he comes in the door and then gives him tons of kisses. He tells me she does the same thing, looking out the window, if I'm gone to the store. We are planning a trip for 10 days to Jamaica in February and I worry about how she'll be in our absence. We have only been separated once over night. Our yorkie "Baby" (r.i.p.) would give us the cold shoulder as punishment for about 15 minutes when we came home from a vacation and then finally forgive us and shower us with kisses. She hated to see the luggage come out. It was only once a year we went without her but it still always made me feel bad. Jackie & my :littleangSophie :aimeeyork . |
My three oldest ones lay on the back of the couch looking out the window waiting for my return, even if some one is home with them. The two little ones can't get on the couch, but I'm sure when they are old enough, they will be right there.:) |
Mine do something similar. My bf says that when I'm out of town on a business trip the dogs constantly are going to the door and waiting and they stay up really late like they're waiting for me to get home. |
this happens every single day with lexi.. every day i come home, shes so excited she starts snorting and honking and just going crazy. this dog cant be without me for a second.. she has to know where i am every minute . the other day, went to my parents house and hid from her, well,, one second later she didnt see me and mom told me she was pacing back and forth all over looking for me.. i was just in the kitchen hiding behind the wall. when she finally saw me, she didnt keep her eyes off me.. shes too attached to me..its sooo scary. she knows where the love it.. in her eyes, no one will ever come close |
