:lol tearsits meant to be DEAR HUSBAND , but like you say it could be any of the above |
LOL I thought it was doggie husband, I knew it didn't make sense but it sounded cute! LOL Now I know the real meaning:animal36 |
Here is a list of more online/text acronyms than you will ever want to know! :D The Largest List of Text Message Shorthand (IM, SMS) and Internet Acronyms Found of the Web - kept current and up-to-date by NetLingo The Internet Dictionary: Online Dictionary of Computer and Internet Terms, Acronyms, Text Messaging, Smileys ;-) No way could I ever remember all of those. But it is fun to look through them. Teens and Twenty-somethings usually have these in their head like some second nature language. My son can text faster than he can talk. Amazes me how he knows all of that stuff! Now if I could get him to remember to take out the garbage! |
Woot that makes me the DH ,So what do they call the female counterpart LW ? Steve |

DH = dear husband , darling husband DD = dear daughter DS = Dear Son BF = Best Friend |
I do believe that DH was always meant to be Darling Husband, or Dear Husband, however.... if you've been married for a long time and survived ups and downs the "D" could stand for any descriptive word beginning with the letter "D". |

That would be SWMBO. I've seen that one in a few forums. Need a clue? how about She Who Must Be Obeyed. I'm also a d.h. and had my own interpretations about it. Most weren't very complimentary because we all know the ladies can sometimes be sarcastic! :p |
Tooo FUNNY!!!!! |
This is great. I have been wanting to ask for so long but i thought i'd sound like a dummy. I'm glad i now know. I don't have a DH just a DB though, (boyfriend, obviously). =] |
I have been on here for quite a while also and have also been to embarrassed or afraid to ask too. Isn't that pitiful, it's like being back in school and not wanting to look stupid or ask a silly question, wanting to fit in with the popular ones, being the new kid at school and afraid you might be picked on for saying the wrong thing, wanting to answer questions but afraid the answer might be wrong!!!! It is just like being back in school but you don't have to come face to face with all your peers! Sorry just rambling and thinking back......... :) |
Thanks for asking I've been to embarrassed! |
Depends on the context... Roses and dinner reservations - Dear Husband asked why you need another pair of shoes - Dumb Husband used the new white towels you bought for the guest bathroom to wipe his hands after changing the oil on the lawn mower - D*** Husband:D |
