New member here. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Angela and I'm from Jasper, Al. I'm a mom of two and I have the greatest husband in the world! We do not have a yorkie right now but we have a "springer spaniel" (Paris) that would argue that she is not dog but actually human. She's a wonderful and beautiful girl.

My husband and I have been reading about showing and breeding quality yorkshire terriers and decided its time to connect with some real people doing the real thing. Its something that may never happen but having knowledgable people to talk to will help us make the decision for the right reasons!

I had a beautiful yorkie girl years ago that had been used for breeding but after 2 bad experiences trying to give birth she was retired and came to live with my family for the rest of her life. I will try to find pictures of her so everyone can see her, she was so beautiful!

We're joining the forum to read and learn and ask questions and hopefully make some new friends. We would love to hear from some breeders near Birmingham, Al. We've been researching breed standard and will have some questions about that soon.

I'm a newcomer too but everyone here is wonderful and I already feel like this is a home away from home. :) I don't have a doggie yet but will be getting one in just over a week from now. I'm sure you'll make friends easily plus there's a subforum entitled "Yorkies for Sale or Wanted". You may want to post in that section too -- e.g. "Looking for Yorkie/Breeder in Birmingham, AL". Good luck and I hope to hear more from you in the future.
