Anyone heard of Cadilac Kennel Hi I am looking for a female to start my breeding program. I really want the dark almost bronze face and black/steel body. I live in Canada and am having a hard time finding what I want so... I've been looking online and find it very hard to make a choice. I am considering a pup from Cadilac Kennel and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? |
misouri has a lot puppy mills...and it could be one ..since there are mention of kennels and facilities |
they have some real cute yorkie and its nice they offer freeshipping... |
i saw shipping is $300 on the parties...i would have thought it would be vice versa..free on parties since they are so high to start with and 300 on traditional:confused: they do have some pretty pups and no complaints out there either |
Will you be going to the kennel yourself to pick up your puppy? |
No I won't I have to get the baby shipped??? |
well then i would go there and check it out then just go dont call for a visit show up that way you can see how they take care of the dogs and your catch them in act if they are a puppie mill you"ll know on the spot.. if you see dogs in wire cages in the back of the house ect.. its a mill.. also theres a thread on here about what too look for , what questions too ask the seller, breeder before you buying your new dog.. i wished i had came too this site before i bought my first yorkie.. even though it turn out ok |
Shipping is what concerns me. Cadillac Kennel is shipping these puppies (sometimes for free) and selling puppies at 8-9 weeks of age, when a Yorkie should really still be with their Mommy and littermates until 12 weeks of age. I can't imagine putting a little Yorkie puppy into the cargo space of an airplane and flying them. I'm just a little leery is all. There are alot of puppies (and breeding stock) on that website, and it is in Missouri (the puppymill capital). I don't know anything about the Kennel personally, but you may want to look into it further before you commit to buying one of their puppies. I'm not saying they're a puppymill, just be careful. Maybe someone can go there to check out the facility for you. It could save you alot of $ (vet bills) and heartbreak in the future. Just my humble opinion. :) |
What about the pedigree and how are they registered? |
Just went there on Monday evening & picked up a beautiful baby girl yorkie-8 months old & clean bill of health from my vet on Tuesday-extremely clean facility-Paige & her mom Terri are wonderful - I have been in contact with Paige for about 2 1/2 months about the little yorkie that I adopted. They are 1 of only 9 Blue Ribbon Kennels in MO - Definitely not a puppy mill. They sent home the dish that she ate out of, her blankie & her water dish as they were afraid she wouldn't eat or drink from anything else. Very caring facility - I would definitely recommend! |
