Wow. I've been following the thread. It's an incredible story. |
That is the best news ever. I can't even imagine how happy you must have been!! HOORAY!! :yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump::yay_jump: |
I saw a show on TV where a lady lost a Pug. She found her Pug at a nearby neighbor's house a few blocks away. She liberated her precious Pug but the neighbor saw her do it and called the police. The lady told the police her Pug was stolen and she was reclaiming her. The neighbor claimed the dog was hers and not stolen. Back and forth the lady and the neighbor went, both claiming ownership. A vet was summoned and the Pug was scanned for a microchip. Turns out the NEIGHBOR WAS RIGHT and the lady who was 1000 percent sure the dog was hers was wrong. Just thought I would throw that out there. Of course that is not the case with Mooney. The moral of the story? Gotta get your dogs micro chipped if you really care for them! Woof! ~CD |

You are correct, until today Mooney had not been chipped. Her collar was off at the time and my husband was responsible for everything else. It was just one of those things that just 'happened' but fortunatley it has turned out well and i have learned frm my mistakes. i was just being facisoius above sorry |

My Xena is chipped and wears a collar with ID. She bolted out the door on me the other day and took off hells bells down the street with me in hot pursuit! It was raining cats and dogs and she could have cared less. What a funny site it must have been, me chasing and cursing in my attempt to catch her before something happened. As it was traffice stopped for us thankfully and I was able to grab her two blocks away. Good thing too for I was out of breath by then. I'm 56 years young, pant pant! Getting too old to go chasing dogs! D'oh! I was so angry with her I could have punted her to the next block! That lasted all of about 30 seconds though, one look at her pitiful little wet face melted all my frustration. Gotta love 'em! I hope you and Mooney will never be apart again! ~CD |

But hey Chili that poses another question. If someone took your dog could they go to the vet and get the dog chipped and say it was their dog? or can dogs be double chipped? Misty |
I am very happy that you have Mooney back safe and sound. All the best:) |
What wonderful news that Mooney was found. So many prayers and thoughts for you and your family that you pup would be found! It would be a shame to find out that someone would actually try to keep your dog, but you will not know for sure unless you talk to them about it. I used to have a beautiful German Shepherd Dog that got out of the yard. I was in a panic for about 30 minutes, when I found her down the alley a block away in a fenced yard. The people said they saw her running loose and put her in there to be safe until they could locate the owner. So you might never know what your dog has been through. Safe at home at last! Prayers have been answered! |

Microchips are easily located on dogs, as they are usually placed in the same position every time. What we have found is that if they're[theives] experienced and educated enough to know about mircochips, then they are willing to take them out by themselves. It has become a scary world out there. |
Oh what good news!!!:D I'm so happy to read that you have been reunited! thank goodness for your neighbour recognising her and being brave enough to go right in there and snatch her back! bet they are now wondering what happened to her! be aware that they may have claimed her as their 'own' and be looking for her:mad:...good to know that you have her microchipped now. |
The power of prayer....amazing. Congratulations, Mooney is home safe and sound. |
