Uploading pictures from a MAC :confused:I have no idea how to upload and resize pictures. Is there anyone out there that can explain it to me step -by-step? I was o.k. on uploading, but then didn't know how to resize. Thanks! |
I don't know anything about the Mac, but they come with great graphic programs that have they capability to resize, Mac's are known to be user friendly, what happens if you double click on a picture, does a program open it? You can resize it there. Anyhow, until someone can give you better help with the Mac, here are a couple of online resizing places. Just follow the instructions, usually 6x8 inches is a nice resize. I recently got my first Mac, an iMac. Yesterday I uploaded photos. I didn't need to resize. It sounds like you know how to upload. Did you successfully upload, & want to resize after uploading? |

I have had my mac for months and cannot figure out how to resize and post. It is driving me crazy! |

First let me say that this is not my specialty, but it's what works for me. I go here: Resize Images online Then click on "resize" on the left. Then go down under "resize images" and click "browse." The file upload page should come up. Click on "pictures" on the left. Double click on the pic (name) of your choice. Then the file upload screen will disappear. Then click on 600 pixels in the "resize images box. Then click resize. When it's done resizing, click "download this picture now." Now you're done with that part and I am sure there has got to be a way to do it faster. To upload to YT after doing that, go to "attach files" after starting a thread. Then click "browse" (I think). The file box should come up. Click "downloads" on the left. Pick you pic and double click. Upload pic. This part is really easy. I find it much better than fighting with a PC. That used to frustrate me so much. |
I just got a Mac too, but I think I figured it out. Right click on the picture and go to "open with" then select "colorsync utility" and click on the picture that looks like a a picture frame that will let you type in or choose a size. Good luck, hope it works. |
If you put your photos in iphoto, just click on the photos you want to resize, go to file click on export, there it will ask if you want full size or scale, I scale the images (usually 900 for the width x whatever the other number turns out to be). Then click format and click on jpeg, then hit export and then save it to desk top. I know this forum requires a certain size. If you right click on the pic on the desk top and go to get info you can see what the size is. If it isn't small enough, go back to iphoto and redo the save, just make is smaller. |
Everyone's given you good info. First you resize then you upload. |
I have an Imac and I use Photoshop Elements to resize |

I recently switched to a Mac too. I attach the photo I want to upload to an email and it resizes it. Then I save that photo to upload here. It's very simple and easy to do. Have you found something that works for you? We'd love to see photos!! |
