What Pet food is this?? I found this in my bag of NB Small bites & know it doesn't belong. Because of Brownie's allergies I am NOT very happy about this. I have emailed them. :thumbdown:thumbdown http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5715/dsc7358u.jpg |
From googling, it looks to be a piece from a product called "Wholemeals" made by Mars who makes NB. BUT they don't make wholemeals anymore so I don't know how that would happen?? It's the only dog food I could find shaped like a bone. Unless kibbles n bits or something like that has bone shapes? I lied, Mars also makes something called "Small bites and bone" similar to Ole Roy and such: http://www.petcare.mars.com/ I assume that it is made in the same plant with NB. |
Oh Great so a recalled Garbage Food may be in my Allergy fomula Expensive dog food. |
This is frustrating... Let us know if you hear anything back. I would be upset! |
:eek:Oh! Please let us know what you find out! |

Here's what I would do if I were you: 1) Write a very stern letter to Mars Pet Care. Give them the batch/lot number and purchase date of your NB. Inform them that you found a piece of their recalled "Small Bites and Bones" in your NB formula. Also provide them a copy of the picture that you gave us. Ask for whatever type of action you want them to take. 2) Take your bag back to the store you purchased it from along with that piece of kibble. Tell them you found it in your NB bag and want to return it. Get a new bag from a different lot/batch #. Good luck! |
Wow, that is really scarry! You just do not know about food production anymore! |
I really don't think companies that make dog food, really care that much about the dogs...If they did, they wouldn't sell their products in thousands of pet stores that sell puppies. I just thought about his the other day. If companies that made pet products actually cared, really truly cared about animal welfare they wouldn't supply these stores, then these stores would have no stock. Many so called great pet product companies are also supporting the system, and they could stop it or at least put a huge dent in it. So when "good" dog food seems less than good quality I am not suprised. They are in it for the money like everybody else. I just found out a major problem with Eva's Orijen food (will try to start a thread about it soon) tried to contact the company and no response. My sister tried to contact them too and no response. It is very frustrating....in the end, to manufacturers, it's JUST dog food and they are JUST dogs. |
Oh wow, I would be upset, too! Please let us know if they respond back to you! |
