Tail hair Do you trim the "tail stumpy" hair. I trimmed Stormy's a bit and her butt area but Lola doesn't get poop stuck in her butt hairs so I haven't had to trim hers yet, but her tail hair is getting so long, it makes her stumpy look twice as long? lol Should I trim it? |
I keep Bella's little "tail stumpy" hair long. I just love the fact that I can really see her wag her tail now. I love it. :) I do keep the hair around her little butt hairs really short for the same reasons that you do though. |
I love the hair on Joey's tail long, it looks like another topknot. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=66102. Hair around his butt is clipped short though. |
I think it matters what you like. If you are more of the long hair on the stump or the short hair on the stump. I like peanuts stump hair cut... Sometimes the groomer will not cut the tip of the hair off and it bugs me lol I have no idea why just does..so I will trim it myself :D I think its a pet peeve or something  |
1 Attachment(s) I prefer to keep the hair on the tail long, I think it gives a nice balance. |
I keep it short thats just the way I prefer it |
I love the long flowing tail look, so I do cut the hair on Josh's tail short. :) |

Gorgeous picture!!! I think I will be letting it grow out for sure now! lol |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 292927 I not only like the hair long , I like the tail long too . Sorry I couldn't resist that one lol |
I also prefer it long. |
it depends on the cut on the rest of the body and the texture of the hair. i like Joey's tail because its balanced with his legs and head, plus his hair is nice and straight. If they are kept short all over with a small round head then i like the tail short too. morgan has a cotton coat and her tail looks stupid if i don't cut it with the rest of her body. |
