Update to Dixies a Jumper, Is yours/ Just wanted to take a moment to thank all that responded to the first posting on Dixie my little 9 pd jumper. After reading the postings I realized that she is surely NOT the only one who jumps. Thought you might be able to relate to what happened today. I had to go to a appt. this morning with my doctor and was gone for at least two hours. Hubby went with me and when we got home I told him I bet she jumped the fence and was out of the kitchen area where we put the three yorkies at nite and when we go out. Well I opened up that front door very slowly and that little black nose poked thru and I could see that little tail wagging and she was just so happy to see me and so very proud of herself as if to say, Look Mommy I took care of the house while you were gone! I came in and said to her, Now Dixie you were bad to come out of the kitchen. She just crouched down on the floor looking up at me with her little eyes. So darn cute, I wanted to just love her up but I knew I could not give in and so I told her she was pretty bad. I went upstairs and found all the mischief she had been into. She had been into each of my daughters bedrooms jumped on their beds and buried herself under the covers, she chewed on quite a few stuffed animals and got into their trash cans and made such a mess! Then apparantly she went into the bathroom and got into the cat litter box and retrieved several litter covered objects (if you know what I am saying) and decided to leave them for me for a treat right in the middle of my king sized bed right on my brand new down blanket!!!!!! Oh My, what a morning she had. It took me a while to clean up the mess! I hope my husband gets those new gates up tonite that he made so the next time we leave I will be more assured that she won't jump out of the kitchen. My twin daughters two little yorkies were in the kitchen area and very good. They just kinda looked at me shaking their little heads as if to say, She sure is bad!! When I look at her I see such willfullness and badness but she is sooooo darned cute, gosh I love her so much!!!:D |
