sushidoodidoo | 09-22-2009 10:29 AM | Sushi is a weirdo!!!! A friend gave me a box of very nice doggy cookies from a fancy doggy bakery. (I actually tasted a little piece and they taste fantastic, haha). Anyways, I gave them each one cookie, and everybody went about their own business, finding a quiet corner and going at the cookie….for hours (it takes my little squirts hours to go through a single cookie). Anyways, they all did that except for Sushi. First she walked around with the cookie in her mouth, she kept walking till she found a spot to “bury” the cookie. Then she changed her mind, took it out and went to another corner to “bury” the cookie. she kept going from one corner to another, until she finally settled on the corner of her bed, in the crease. after that, she spent the entire evening sitting there, “watching” the cookie, making sure nobody gets anywhere near it. She would even snap if any of the cats or dogs even accidentally walked by. She didn’t even come to bed at night. She spent the whole night in her bed, facing the corner where the cookie was hidden. She’s ok with me taking the cookie, doesn’t snap or anything . But she keeps staring at my hand and following me everywhere until she gets it back. Today I went home at lunch. Same story. she stayed in the bedroom “guarding” the cookie (same cookie, she doesn't eat it). A couple of times she came out to the living room, where I was sitting with the rest of the gang. Of course she was carrying the cookie in her mouth, god forbid if she leaves it alone for a sec. But then quickly she went back to the bedroom where her bed is, and “buried” it again. And stayed there to watch it. Should I be concerned? Or should I just let her be? Why is she doing this????? It’s kinda cute. and it’s not bothering anyone. I just don’t want things to escalate. |
