Destructive eating My Zekie licks the drywall so we have had to put up items against the walls to block him. He chewed up my husbands Medicare card. We have to block him from getting near the computer as he will get any paper and chew it up. We have to block all access to the kitchen and dining room tables or he will get up there and help himself to anything he can find, mostly paper items. I cannot leave anything on my end tables because he can get up on these. He is a climber and jumper. He is only 7 pounds, but he is hell on wheels most of the time. He has never really chewed up anything expensive, because we always keep, or try to keep, everything out of his reach. |
Daisy has only chewed up 2 things -- a little piece of wallpaper from a low shelf and a $10 bill. She was only a pup and I found all 20 some pieces of the $10!!! |
The only thing expensive Sophie has chewed on is the carpet. In two spots in our house, the carpet connects directly to the hardwood with nothing over it. She was particularly fond of that spot but I just put our rolling ottoman over it and she's left it alone. She has chewed on my bag that I take back and forth to work, and she tried to chew on my Louis Vuitton purse but that was quickly stopped and she hasn't tried that again. She does occasionally try to chew on the cats' tails, though...:p |
When my crew were puppies. They chewed on all my oak chairs , they have chewed all my table legs, but the worse was the cordless phone antena  hub said he must have dropped it while i was shopping, the tip is all chewed up but it still works :p |
Oliver has not chewed anything expensive, thankfully. He chewed up my cell phone bill once, so I had to make the call to find out how much I owed and explain that "my dog ate my bill" lol. He loves paper and will tear that up before you even know he has it.. pens too, he loves pens. He also loves my shoes but he just runs with those and hopes you'll chase him. He is getting a little better with leaving things alone, thankfully. He used to try and grab my clothes and didn't even care if they were on my body, or if I was TRYING to get them on my body... lol. He still tries but a quick "STOP" will usually end that. :aimeeyork :D |
My boy got on the desk and peed on my laptop and killed it. I wanted a new computer but didn't want to have to buy one right then lol. |
Harley chewed my husbands Oakley sunglasses and he was not too happy about that. He has also chewed several corners of the baseboards at our new house. |
Hey, one of my boys ate my nice bolle sunglasses too! ugh! They were in my pocket and must have fallen out when I leaned over to pick up something (ironically) before I left the house.... when I got home they were all chewed up! That was a bummer! The most expensive things they have eaten would be the wood casing around my sliding glass door, the wood baseboards in my kitchen, the wood at the bottom of my cabinets (wish I knew about x-pens back in the teething days!) they also ate my laptop power cord, pants, bras, about 20 pairs of shoes.... they went through doggy beds like noone's business for awhile. Thankfully the chewing days are over and I haven't lost anything to little teeth in a long time now! |
Prada and Relay chewd my daughter's old navy flip flops...LOL they did not like the cheap pair they had to go for the old navy ones...LOL I had to run and buy her two new pairs.. |
=) Oh My! LoL Peanut doesnt really care about chewing anything...but if you leave a paper or napkin around he will chew that up but not eat it~~ We had another yokie Pigpen..yeah well his name fit him bc he ate everything in site!! Chewed the corner of the base board Chewed DH'S new belt Chewed DH's shoe strings Chewed my eyeliner pencil ( no idea how he got it) Chewed up all the toys and chewed up the squeekers Chewed flip flops Ya pretty much he chewed anything lol |
i was out for shoping today and when i got home i found zuzu chewing my sunglasses too !!!!!!the funny thing is i had them on the table so she had to jump on the chair and then climp on the table to get them !! i always give her some delicacies to spend time when i leave home but everytime she'll find something mine to destroy !!!!!:rolleyes: |
I read this post a few days ago and laughed at all the things OTHER pups chewed up. Maddie, our perfect yorkie-child, never chews on anything.:D Cooper, the newbie yorkie wannabe, was just caught with her little but sticking out from under the couch chewing away on my husbands Blackberry. He yells at her so I rush in for damage control, yell at him for leaving it where she can get to it. Who needs a spacebar key anyway?:animal-pa |
