Anyone have exper with any of these breeders As you all know I am on the hunt for a male yorkie. So I have a few breeders I am considering and wanted to know if any had any exper with any of them, good or bad. http://firebrandyorkies.com/ I want a male with that dark streak on the topknot. I love her females, Sage, BeBE, LoLo, Betsy, Cookie, Sabana, Twyla and Pebbles. And for sires, I like Ace and Pistol. I also love yorkiepassion's Cappie! His coat colors are too die for. I dont think he will be siring any litters any time soon. And I found that site too late to get one of his pups from the litter he just sired. http://www.spoiledrottenyorkies.com/Home.html Mae Mae is just too cute. She is my fav female and BeeBee is so handsome. Of course he is from firebrandyorkies! And it'll probably be next yr before she has another litter. I am willing to wait on a pup to get the look I want. Anyone know of any breeders with this look. I havent found many. I know just by looking at a pup whose mother or father has this, isnt a guarantee that the pup with have it as an adult. But I figure my chances are better. I want a silk coat, short compact body, short muzzle, good bite, in the 3-4# range, playful but willing to be bossed around by Skittles :) , a Momma's boy(Skittles isnt!), free of health problems. I appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks ladies DaniBelle |
Anyone.............Anyone |
I don't have any experience with those breeders. Sorry. |
nope sorry |
Not a breeder but I always thought that 4lbs is to small a female for breeding. I am responding to spoiled yorkies females. |
I have one from Firebrand 2 Attachment(s) I bought Mya from Firebrand this past January. She is a very nice person and is honest. My experience was very good with her. Mya is 2 1/2 lbs and will be one year old on the 27th of October. Mya is out of Brooke and Bodell and she does have a cotton coat. The coat is beautiful as a puppy but is VERY hard to manage as an adult. It's very dull and tangles easily. I just had to get her shaved due to tangles. Take this into consideration because cotton coats as I said are very hard to manage. I'll attach a picture of her as a puppy. She is the yorkie on my avatar. Let me know if you have any more questions! |

vviccles- If you are near Bedford, Mass I know of a breeder... I just checked and it says you are 20something miles from Bedford. Let me know :) |
Sorry Im no help . I dont know them. |
vviccles: I know of an amazing breeder in Billerica, MA. Let me know if you want her contact info. |
Well I dont want a cotton coat. Mya could still grow out of it, as she is only a year old(almost). I'm not sure when a yorkie is considered an adult. Do her parents have a cotton coat? |

She still might grow out of it, they don't get their full adult coats untill after they turn 2. My friends Yorkie 's parents both had cotton coats, but her baby from them is a sliky, so there is some hope for you. :D :D :D :D :D :D |
If you like you can go to http://www.ytca.org They have a list of ethical breeders from every state not just New England Good Luck |
I contacted the woman from firebrand when I was Yorkie shopping (since she’s here in NM) and was seriously considering one from a litter she had in August. Her puppies are soooo cute. She was very nice and seemed genuine and honest. She was very helpful too and emailed lots of pics. But I ended up buying one closer, here in Albuquerque. |
I havent decided if I will use the male as a stud or not but either way I don't want to deal with a cotton coat. Yes, firebrand is very nice and I email her at least every other week with questions on her yorkies. I have already looked at the YTCA for breeders, thank you. I'll just keep looking. So glad I ave plenty of time to narrow it down. |
Time Will Tell I really hope she grows out of it. The lady from firebrand told me that it could just be her puppy coat, but I guess I will know in another year or so. I really want another one and would truly consider going back through her, but just get one with a silkier coat from a puppy. Honest, She is the nicest and most honest breeder I have ever met and I have had some bad experiences so I truly appreciate someone who is honest and not just out for the money. What she promised, is what I received. Regardless of the coat, Mya is a darling with a wonderful temperament, which I can't say how important that is. I truly love Firebrand! Gabby |
Hi, i am seeing some beautiful yorkies at both sites that you listed... both breeders appear to be trying to raise quality yorkies and have a love for their breed. |
Just to clarify...the two sites I checked were the ones you had linked. Yorkiepassion's (Kimberley) site is one of my favorites and she is raising silk coat quality dogs. |
hey Stacey (drop the e) thanks for the nice comment but do me a favor drop the kimberl(e)y here too:) I hope you find what your looking for, its very hard for a breeder to really say or be positive that a kid will be dark. Cappies last litter gave me 3 steel blues and a black at 10 months old. The three boys favor their mom and the little gal (Mercedes) favors her dad. One will never know until they reach this age or older, then all bets are off if they are bred they can blow their coat. Only thing you can count on, one can determine a silk coat early on just not the color end result. |
