That's too bad. I wish Buddy didn't like it so much. He would live outdoors if I let him. He put's the brakes on so he dosen't have to go up the steps. LOL Wish I could help you. Never had that problem. How about if you carry him to your destination and just allow him to roam in one area. Maybe he will feel more secure that way. |
Aww, poor little guy :( One of my yorkies gets scared outside too. Is yours food motivated? If so, you might want to try bringing a jar of meat baby food with you and letting him lick from it as soon as he gets outside and/or when there is a scary noise. After a while, he'll start to associate going outside with getting yummy food, and he'll have a positive response to going outside. Good luck! |
thank you. hmmm thats a good idea w the food. ive tried so many things with him. normally hes fine outside but sometimes he freaks out so bad i dont know what to do :( |
Just keep trying with him, you need to make him a confident little boy.Show him he is safe with you. |
My 2 yo started this after we brought home Cooper, 15 weeks. I think hers was for attention though. I would have to carry her outside and set her down; let her do her business, pick her up and carry her back inside. She has eventually gotten better. Hope you figure something out. |
Have you tried staying outside with him, so he could overcome his fears? |
I feel your pain, my Fancie won't come outside either when she hears anything loud. I hope it get's better with time, she is 9mths. old. |
