Gracie Ruth needs some get well vibes
 

Poor G has some type of stomach/intestinal bug and is feeling a bit under the weather today. She could use some get well vibes from her YT friends.

I came home from work yesterday & we all go outside as usual. She immediately starts grazing. She's always been a bit of a grazer so I didn't think anything of it at first. But she just kept after it & it finally dawns on me that she's eating more then usual. I go over to her & then can hear her tummy gurgling and rumbling. So, being the good momma that I am, even though it's sprinkling, I'm standing out in the back yard plucking grass leaves for her. I figured she'd eat some, throw up and then feel better. Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. :rolleyes: She wasn't feeling any better after she threw up. Long story short, she seemed to be getting worse, so off to Dr D's for a look-see. She had a slight fever, was dehydrated and had a lot of tummy rumbling going on, but no blockage that Dr D could feel. He gave her some fluids, a shot to help with the nausea & an antibiotic. Some special can dog food to help ease her tummy back into working and antibiotics to take for the next few days. Oh yeah, and this has a good chance of ending with a raging case of diarrhea. Great... Oh and also, she may be contagious so keep her separated from the other 2. Wonderful... So G & I sleep in the study last night while "da boys" (DH, Boo & Yogi) get the nice big, soft comfy bed. :p

I'm working from home today so that I can keep an eye on everyone. Don't know if it's just my usual paranoid self, but Boo seems a little off this a.m. too. Hope not. :(

On second thought... I need prayers from my YT'er friends! Yogi, was that you that just sneezed?!?! :eek: lol:p

I had to take one of my sisters fosters to the vet yesterday. He has the same thing Gracie Ruth has. He is 14 so they kept him overnight for IV's and antibiotics. But they haven't told us yet he is contagious. YIKES! We are in big trouble if he is/was.

Hope the rest of your crew stays well and Gracie is feeling better soon!

I hope your sis's foster is doing better. Wow, sick at 14, that can be as tricky as dealing with a sick puppy. I'll be keeping ya'll in my prayers. I'm hoping she's not contagious, but I appreciate Dr D saying that there is a possibility that she may be. But I also figured, if she is/was then the others have already been exposed...so it's just a matter of time. If they get sick too I guess I'll have to change her name to Typhoid Gracie :eek::D

aww poor Gracie....give her kisses and hugs, and licks from me and my seven, and whisper in her ear we hope she feels better soon and we will say prayers for her.

Teresa, what happened to Yogi!!!!

Boo & Yogi both seem fine. I think his sneeze must have just been a little tickle. He's my steady rock. He wouldn't let a little thing like a virus knock him down. :p Boo, however, has sympathy pains whenever anyone else gets sick. :rolleyes: He's my sensitive one and is more then happy to lay in bed and commiserate with you when you're sick. Gotta love both of my boys, they are so sweet.

G is doing much better, eating a little every hour or so, normal stools, but still a little sleepy. Thank you YT'ers for the good vibes...they are working. :)

Iz feelingz beter Dwamma. Iz been sleeping in da pwetty pink tulip bed you bought me. Mommaz bin gibbing me special food all day. Yogi wantz some but Iz toldz him, itz all mine. Momma said to not get fresh, but Iz sick so Iz can get awayz wif it today. :p

Misty, I eatz so manys of both kindz Iz dunno which one madez me sick. But Iz not gonna eat any morez...well unless theyz really yummy lookin. :p If Iz was youz, just to be safe n not get sick, dun't eat any bugz right now.
