Brownie needs your prayers!!
 
So I just got back from the vet with Brownie, he broke his leg. He goes back in tomorrow morning for an x-ray and surgery. He is having pins put in and has to be confined for about 8 weeks. They gave him a shot for pain tonight.
He was such a good boy for the vet. Even though it had to really hurt when the vet touched it, he behaved so nicely.

We have no idea how he broke his leg. My mom calls me at work and is frantic saying she thinks Brownie's leg is broken. I rush home and can tell it is broken so I got him in the vet right away.
My mom had a dr's appointment and I was at work. When she came back from her appointment she noticed something was wrong. So we aren't sure if he got into a fight with Scamp that caused it or what.

So please say a prayer that Brownie's surgery goes well tomorrow and that he has a speedy recovery.

I hate that we have to keep him confined for so long but if he moves around too much it can cause the pins to move.

These last couple weeks have been so tiring.

Oh my!....I hope Brownie does well at the doc's with his surgery!....Two months ago my brothers Min-Pin broke her back leg falling off the bed and getting it stuck in the bed frame on the way down. It was awful. The surgery was worse on my brother than his dog...She had to be confined in a crate for 6 weeks but it went very well, the dog felt so bad that she wanted to be in the pen .....

I wish Brownie well tomorrow......

Oh my goodness...Tracey, I am SO sorry about poor little Brownie!!! I will definitely be putting in extra prayers that all goes well tomorrow and for a speedy recovery. :hands: Please give us an update on how the surgery goes when you can. :love-hug1

Thanks everyone for your prayers, I really appreciate them!!

Brownie is out of surgery and doing good. He won't be able to come home for a few days though. I know he is in great hands but I can't wait to get him home!!

He has to wear an e-collar and I just hate for him to have to wear that for so long. Do you think if I got him a onesie with feet that he could wear that instead??

He should be coming home wednesday or thursday, I will update everyone when he comes home. We've got a long road ahead of us. He has to go in once every week for a check up to see how he is doing.

Glad to hear Brownie came through the surgery so well. I think I would stay with the e-collar if that's what your vet suggested or at least pose the question to him or her. Maybe down the road the vet will let you replace the collar. Your vet will know best. Congratulations on Brownie's successful surgery and best wishes for a very speedy recovery!!
