Sophie's first professional grooming!!!
 

And she did great!! Well, according to the groomers that worked with her! I tried a new groomers and I really liked them and they seemed to do well with her. Another lady had just dropped off her Shih-tzu and they got to play together some. She apparantely really enjoyed that since all she gets to see all day are 3 cats!! After that we went to petsmart, just dogs, and sonic so I could eat. The people (and dogs) at petsmart and just dogs loved her! And the guy that brought my food out at sonic just went head over heels for her and even asked could he pet her, so I rolled down the other window and he pet her. She did really well with the crowds (it was adoption day at petsmart so lots of animals and people) and even the big German Shepherd and the weimareiner (sp?) at just dogs! She even met another Yorkie! Anyway, here are some pics.

1. After I picked her up. They put a little purple and black bow in her hair. Everyone that saw her thought it was so
2. After we got home, we went out for a few minutes and when I came back she had pulled out the purple bow, so I put in another band and clip bow. It was my first time putting it in and she did great with me!!

aww she looks sooo cute. Its good to hear a good story about groomers for a change. I groom Tia myself but you are tempting me to try a groomer lol

Thanks all! I was really happy with them. I made sure to ask them to not cut the top knot hair or the hair on her nose and I asked them to leave her body hair on the sides a little long because I was trying to grow it out a little bit. And they did just that! They even let me come and look around the grooming area and where they keep them in the wire kennels until its time to play or to groom. She said they don't stay in kennels long because they know they get nervous. They have lots of safe toys and water bowls around so they can play and drink and don't have to stay in the kennels long. It was a really nice and CLEAN place.

Oh wow does she look pretty and you took some outstanding pictures of her !! Girl - If you ever want to make her address labels with her as the star - picture # 3 would be the ONE !

Sorry - I see cute pictures and my mind just goes there :) not soliciting ..but that shot is perfection...I love them all but that one really caught my eye

I would have to agree! LOL I'll give her a big kiss and hug from you! She's had a big day so she's sleeping in my lap right now, but I think tonight or tomorrow I'm going to take some pics of her in her outfits we got from you plus the others I have. I'll be sure to post them! Thanks so much for letting me get one of your precious puppies! She has brought more joy to my life than you know!! I love her so much!

She has beautiful hair Kristy! I will be glad when Bella's hair grows out like her sissy's!!! Poor thing had such broken hair it is STILL super short and barely enough for a tiny knot... One day... One day :)

It will grow eventually!! I try to make sure I keep Sophie brushed everyday. I just bought a Madan pin brush and comb and some Chris Christensen products. I am going to try to grow her hair long, almost show length. I don't want it so long I have to wrap it, but my groomer said even if it was that long I could still keep it looking good with lots of at home brushing, etc. So I'm going to try! She didn't cut her body hair at all, just her belly, legs, feet, ears, and hiney!:p So hopefully she'll be able to grow it! I've heard that having a small white spot on their chest is an indication that they will be great coat growers in quantity and sometimes in quality, and she has one so I hope she ends up with a pretty coat!

She'll be 5 months old on the 25th of this month. Wow, I can't believe she is already that old! They grow up too fast!

I keep my Basil cut short in the body and long on top (due to texture). Teddy's hair is long and silky. He is absolutely gorgeous!!! I just look at him sometimes thinking how beautiful! Bella come to me with scabs and they are only now gone. The whole time I have had her she has clawed herself from the itching. I have been keeping long T-shirts on her in hope it helps the hair grow (while she was scratching so much). She has finally stopped that now so I am so excited to see her hair grow! Her coloring is different than any yorkie I have seen so I am anxious to see what color she turns out to be LOL Her hair is more of a "cotton" style rather than silky so I am not sure it will ever look as pretty as Teddy's. I am doing a hot oil treatment on her today.

All your babies are precious!! Sophie scratches some, too, and I'm thinking it is a grain allergy so I'm switching her to either Orijen food or Merrick's Before Grain. Bella is a doll, but I did notice in your pics that she looks different than Sophie! But she is so cute!!! I'm thinking Sophie is going to have the silky coat, bit I guess I won't be able to tell until she gets a bit older.:confused: She has the green eye flash and most of her hair seems silky so I'm hoping! I think Bella has an adorable face, especially in the pic of her with the black outfit on! I think she'll be pretty regardless of her coat!

She does look adorable. You are lucky that she has silky hair.
I think Bonnie's is a silky/cottony coat. Her face is silky-like, but her body is more cottony. It stands straight out from her body making her look fat.

I love the sweet look of her mouth in the pic where she is looked right at the camera.

Awww, Sophie is such a doll!!!! I really, really need to figure out how to post pictures so Sophie can see her sister Bailey.

I don't know whether the groomer's did such a great job or she is just such a BEAUTIFUL girl! Maybe a combination of both. :) She really is a regal gal!
