Is the AKC standard the same than FCI one? As you may know, I´m brazilian and i´d like to buy an american yorkshire because I just love your lineage. I really need to know if the standard from AkC and FCI are exactly the same or if it has small differences, because Brazil follows the FCI standard and I´m interested in buying show dogs. Thank you in advance! :animal36 |
standards You can read the standard on the AKC site or YTCA site and compare..Best wishes |
standards I read both standards and they are the same. It would be wise to buy from a US breeder who breeds the same TYPE as you see in Brazilian rings. If they tend to be very dark in yoru country, you would want to avoid the breeders with a light coated York. etc.. Be sure to get good references and contact the YTCA for a reputable show breeder. I would contact Parkside (Marie Cordona) in PR..she shows here in the US and SA. Best wishes |
Thank you for your fast answers! Lake Buena Vista Kennel is one of the bests kennels in Brazil and uses Parkside´s bloodline. I´ve already seen parkside´s dogs in the sweetyblue.com and I really like them indeed. what in USA is the most common, light or dark coated yorkie? |
