Yes, Arnie, Our actor-governor has signed into law a law here forbidding the sale of all puppies under the age of 8 weeks. Now folks are not allowed to take them away from their moms too young (I myself would prefer 12 weeks, but Rome was not built in a day). The law also forbids selling sick puppies! After all the heartache I endured after losing my Max (the BYB lied about his age and weight), I hope that this new law saves other new owners heartbreak. Not overly pleased with Arnie as governor (even though I voted for him), but I am pleased that he is at least looking out for the puppies, though he is not doing too well by the kids. |
Good deal! Glad they are thinking about the puppies! |
Too bad Illinois doesn't have a law like that then we could have brought charges up on that breeder with the 5 week old puppies. Way to go Gov... |
That's a good law..i think every state should have it! |
That's fantastic! :D I hope that makes some people think before they do something that is wrong!!! :) |

Hmmm...Kinda worried about what will then happen to the sick puppies... |
Thanks Now I have something good to say about him. He can't be all that bad if he did that. But I still don't like him! He should go back to the big screen (I didn't like him there either) LOL |

Do you have a citation....if not I can find it. Thanks for letting us know. |
No citation, just heard it on the news this evening, following the story on the doggie flu. As a paralegal, I too would be interested in reading it. Also, as a person who was duped by a BYB that lied about the pups age and weight, ending in his death after huge vet bills, I would like to think that the consumer is finally being protected to some extent by the government. |
