cutie pie, just check out the breeder really good and go see where she's from and what she lives in and check her parents' health and past health issues. also everyone recommends 12 weeks before she leaves her mom and littermates.

Here is the other little girl she has. She has 2 females and 1 male and they are from different mothers. What do you think about her? I have soooo much trouble with decisions!!!

I think you need to go see them and see what personality you like the best, see which one you bond with..its so hard to pick just by the looks..you know :D

Oh they are both so cute. Hate to make it more confusing for you but, that first one is way to cute! Would not want to be the one to have to pick! Goodluck

I agree you need to go meet the breeder. Make sure she lets you see where they are raised and meet the parents. What are their personalities like? That's what your baby will grow up to be like, is that a furbaby you want in your home?
How do the puppies act? Are they just laying around lethargic, playing, alert, runny eyes, etc.... Take into account feedings or nap time.
Then I would also go back at a different time another day and observe all of the same things again.
Also ask the breeder which one she thinks would have the best personality for your home and lifestyle.

Although the first puppy is cute, I would pass on her. Those big rounded ears are not what I look for and I am curious as to why the breeder cut the hair on her face like that. The second one is a little better choice, just going on the first impression of a picture. Hard to tell. But I always like to watch them play, see their personality and see most of all how they react to me and mine. Take a good lookat their back to make sure they are developing a straight topline and not showing signs of roachback or sway. Check joints to ensure they feel tight, no slippage. Check her bite.

Ensure you are dealing with a good AKC breeder. Look at both dam and sire. See where the puppies are kept and where the adults are kept. Check the list to see if she has had any AKC suspensions. Ask for a reference or two who has one of her puppies. Ask for a vet referral who will vouch for her. Review a copy of her health guarantee. There is a sticky on here that lists things to look for as well.

Well I am going to see them in person on Sunday. I will see the second ones parents tomorrow at our meetup in Knoxville. She says the first one has a more outgoing personality which I like. The first one is almost 8 weeks and the second is almost 7 weeks, so it would be a few more weeks before I could bring either home. Yes, I got Bentley about a month ago now. I just really want to get a little girl to complete our family and would like Bentley and her to grow up together. (No I will NOT be breeding. Bentley has a spay/neuter contract and the girl would also) I just like both of them in their own way. Agh!! Why do yorkie puppies have to be so cute!!

If all the dogs are healthy and in standard and so, then i would first go meet her.
A good breeder is a breeder that goes outside reguarly with the puppies and lets them walk in grass, mud etc., has the puppies in his home not outside in some kennel, lets them get used to being in a car and takes them for few car rides, who shows his dogs and only breeds from good natured dogs in standard and that has done well in the show ring :)

A great breeder is a breeder who does all this and more, who says that if you ever need somebody to give the puppie a haircut he will do it for you for litle money, a breeder who wants to meet the puppie sometimes and who wants news of the puppie in the new home.

A bad breeder is the one who has the dogs outside in kennels, but not in his own home.
A bad breeder does not go to the vet and let him check them and give them worm medecins etc., a bad breeder dogs just ''are there'' somewhere, even outside in a dirty kennel.

Watch out that your breeder is great ! :)
:thumbup::thumbup: Agree, picking a puppy is not just about a cute picture. It's more about what a cute picture DOESN'T tell you -- what is the health of the other related dogs, what is the personality of this dog & its relatives, what are the living conditions of the dogs (indoors or kennel), etc.

The first one was so cute with ears up already and everything! Then you posted the second one. Hmmmm.....now I see why it is so hard to choose. But I agree with checking out the breeder. All puppies are cute. Health and personality are what you need to focus on.:aimeeyork
