The Bowl or the Water Bottle...which do you use? Hi just wondering what you all use for water, bowl or water bottle and if water bottle what size. I use the bowl right now but have the Lixit 32 oz water bottle as well but haven't started using it yet. Getting a bit tired of wiping her face after every drink! When I filled the bottle up and held it for her to try she wouldn't stop drinking, like it was fun or something so I am wondering if it will even work or if she will just continuously stand there playing with it. So wondering what is more common to use. Thoughts? |
I use a bowl. Thought about using a bottle before, but I probably never will. |
I use a bowl...What do you mean water bottle?? I am confused |
I am also confused???? |
haha! I am glad I am not the only one!! is she talking about the water thingy..the automatic one with the water bottle ?? |
I think what is meant by "water bottle" are those bottle you put in hamster or rabbit cages that has the metal tube that comes out from the bottle and they can lick the tip of it to get water. |

I use the bowl at home, but when we camp or pic-nic we put up a few expens for the girls and then attach the water bottle. |
Since I have three dogs, all different sizes, I use the bowl. Nobody has any problem with it except my Maltese. She likes putting her feet in the bowl and then drink. Then of course she runs around like crazy cause she got wet. |

Yes like a hamster bottle only larger. Lixit makes them for small, med and lrg dogs. Apparently, the constant wet fur on the chin can cause yeast growth, can then get smelly and stain as well. On a Maltese it is more noticable but probably not on a yorkie. EVA is like a wet mop after she drinks! So i wipe her. Sometimes i don't catch her in time though. All the water pooling near her dish is lifting the cracks of my laminate floor a bit. Even with a water placemat she still makes a mess. So I thought I would try the bottle. She seems to think it is more of a toy at this point. |
