:aimeeyork Nancy, Thanks for reply. My son has that program, I'll have to ask him to show me how to use it. As for membershp in the club... I don't think you have to be a breeder or show, but since it is mostly show/breeder people, it may not appeal to the strictly pet interests. I just applied to the local YTCA club in my area YTCA of GNY, we have non show people. But much of the club activities are show related. We hope to arrange speakers at each meeting that would be of interest to show AND pet Yorkie people in the future, I have a spayed female and am waiting for a show bitch from a reputable AKC breeder in Ct. Where did you get Joey from? Do you have other pix of him? The avatar moves too fast to see him well! lol :Pawprint: |
My son was the one who taught me the basics in it too, but I didn't really use it much until I wanted to make an avatar. The nice thing with the Paint Shop program is you can make avatars partly transparent, so that means your avatar can have circles or curves and doesn't have to be strictly a rectangle or square.
I thought to be in the YTCA you had to be sponsored by someone, and at least two people had to know of your breeding program, but truthfully, I had never even heard of the YTCA until I found Yorkietalk. I guess I was against purebred breeding period because so many breeds have genetic defects, I didn't realize that there are some breeders who take breeding very seriously and truly do want to make the breed stronger. I have the link in my signature, because I hope to inform others that there really are some dedicated breeders out there, not that you have to be a member to be a good breeder, but I think it helps one to understand the difference between great breeders and those who are just puppy marketers. I wish you much success with your efforts! I got Joey from a YTCA member in AZ, and you can see more of his pictures in my Album. Joey's pictures
Anyone else who would like an avatar, just let me know, it helps if I know your favorite colors, or if you want a special theme. :) |
