Nancy, I would love for you to create a moving avatar for me. I have no computer sense and would probably end up pretty frustrated. Just let me know what you need from me. Can hardly wait to see results, I did up load some more pics of Belle.

It usually doesn't take very long, less than a couple of days, have you checked your email, not PM's, but email. If you made the request over 2 days ago, I would PM admin, and ask if everything is OK.

It is an adorable avatar, and I did use these directions to do mine. I followed the above directions from Nancy and I found it pretty easy. Now I am encouraged to do another!

I always look at everyone's Avatars and I see so many adorable babies!!
Whenever I do see Nancy1999's though I giggle to myself because I see this same kind of action in my house! LOL

I appreciate you spending the time and effort to help me make my avatar. I did not know how to make the frame, and you helped me make the frame. I am truly grateful for your assistance on helping me make my avatar. We functioned as a team on this project. Oh I didn't realize you were going to do the donating member thing so fast, I was working on the bigger avatar last night, there are a few glitches, and I don't think we can add all those pictures, but I'm going to try a few more things to see just how many we can add.

Thank you, but I just have to say, there have been so many members making avatars for other members before I started. Peanut has made, I think, thousands, and she really inspired me to learn more about it. She has a thread in the "Test Forum" where you can just upload pictures and have her make an avatar for you, and I love reading her thread and seeing her work. She seems to have endless creativity, and I'm crazy about the avatars she makes. Peanut is the avatar queen; I could be the avatar fairy! :D

Your post made me laugh. Yeah, last night I decided to be become a donating member. I always wanted to become a donating member, and I decided why not last night. You might have forgotten that I emailed you recently expressing that I wanted to become a donating member, and I wanted an avatar in a regular and donating size. I guess I caught you off guard. LOL I am grateful that you took the time to make the frame for me. I love the way my avatar turned out. If you cannot add more pictures to my avatar then that is OK. This avatar has my favorite pictures of my pets, and the additional pictures would just be icing on the cake. The avatar turned out so great that I want to learn how to make the frames too. Nancy1999, I think you spark a lot of Yorkie Talkers interest in making cute avatars that reflect our unique personalities. :)

No I didn't forget, I always make them in the bigger size, and then downsize them for regular members, but adding the new pictures caused a few problems. I just can't figure out how to optimized the gifs without losing too much quality, there are so many settings, and it's confusing.

Attachment 292759 This one has all the pictures, and is the full size, but takes over 72kb, and we are only allowed 53 kb. So I can reduce the kb by doing several things, take out pictures, or reduce the quality of pictures, or make the avatar slightly smaller in physical size, or a combination of all three. So that's what I'm working on now. You have to click on it to see it move.

I want to thank you for working hard on my avatar. :heart to It looks great. The file size is large. I like the option of taking out some pictures the best. I think I probably should stay with the four original pictures. I appreciate all the hard work. I am grateful that you took the time and care to make a nice avatar for me. Thanks! :smile:

I use the paint shop pro program, it allows you to do some pretty fancy stuff, but the Photoscape program that's free can do quite a bit, if you learn how it works. Editing the pictures before you make the avatar makes the biggest difference.

No I'm not a member of the YTCA, I think you have to be a breeder to join, not sure if non-breeders can join. I did get Joey from a YTCA member, and I'm one of those people who believes that even if you don't plan to breed or show, you still can choose to support those breeders who are doing right by the breed, and are not breeding as an income producer. I also think you can get lots of great information on choosing a good breeder on the YTCA website.

JoshieBoy, I was able to take one picture out and get it just under the size limits, I hope you like it. :)

:aimeeyork Nancy, Thanks for reply. My son has that program, I'll have to ask him to show me how to use it. As for membershp in the club... I don't think you have to be a breeder or show, but since it is mostly show/breeder people, it may not appeal to the strictly pet interests. I just applied to the local YTCA club in my area YTCA of GNY, we have non show people.But much of the club activities are show related. We hope to arrange speakers at each meeting that would be of interest to show AND pet Yorkie people in the future, I have a spayed female and am waiting for a show bitch from a reputable AKC breeder in Ct. Where did you get Joey from? Do you have other pix of him? The avatar moves too fast to see him well! lol :Pawprint:
