I have a question I have read on here that when a puppy is young you need to watch for low sugar if they don't weigh very much. My question is Daisy is 2.4lbs. and 9mths.old do I still have to watch for low sugar as much? My other 2 I don't worry about they are 6lbs.,but I always make sure she eats even if I have to hand feed her. Just curious. |
I have read and read it isn't as common after 12 weeks but any time they over play or run alot you should always watch cause it is so common and easy to fix if you catch it early....but at that ones age I am sure the chances are very small if it was occurring often when it was little...that is based on what I have read hun....:aimeeyork |
Knock on wood, I have never had that happen with the 3 of mine. |
Weight is a factor....and the wee ones are more prone. However, dogs that are older and weigh more can have bouts of it, depending on the situation. So, no one should be under the misconception that it can't happen at any time and with any Yorkie...So, prepare yourselves on how to identify it and treat it quickly |
