But how is Lexi doing? Any word about your next step?

I hope nobody flames me for this, but I have decided not to put her through another surgery. Not right now anyway. They wanted to do an exploritor(sp) surgey and cut her from her chest down to her growing. I told them no. I have found a new vet in a new office and Lexi and Tori both have an appointment next week just to meet the new vet and to be looked over. I wanted to get to know him before Tori's next shots on the 10th and Lexi still is going to have to have her 2 baby teeth pulled. I was going to post this last night but decided not to because it was Tori's first day home and I was so happy and wasn't in the mood to talk about it. I know many people think I should do it to prevent later problems but right now I just can't.

I think you made the right decision for Lexy. If she were mine I wouldnt put her through another surgery either.

An exploritory surgery from chest to the groin? That would scare me away too?!!?!? Well you are doing what is best for your baby. I wouldn't worry about what others say. You are trying to keep her best interests at heart, so I wouldn't worry. There are too many ifs for the future and now. So when the time comes you will know what to do...

Wow!! That is scary!! And Im with you, I wouldnt do it now either.. I hope things work out well with your new vet and perhaps get a good second opinion.. Lexi is a very loved little girl and no one should be upset because you are doing what you feel is best for her. Please keep us all posted.. and hugs to both your adorable babies.. :)

I know I told you that if Lexi were mine I would do the surgery in a minute but that was considering another spaying procedure. An exploratory surgery like that would definitely scare me too! I really think I would do the same as you and see another vet, make sure I considered all the options before I made a final decision. I don't think you should feel bad for the decisions you've made so far.

I wouldn't do it either. Their so little and to go through such a surgery sounds like it would be too much. I hope you like your new vet, and he has some better ideas for you.

Thank you all for your support, I can honestly say that for the first time through all this I actually feel good about my decission. The vet that wanted to do it so bad was in it just for the challenge. Once we are comfortable with the/a new vet then I MAY change my mind and have her spayed AGAIN.

No, you are doing the right thing. It's too much too close together. There is plenty of time! Just enjoy them.
