Do you think? Do you think our babies really really know how much we love them? I mean I love my little Bailey Blue more than anything on this planet! Most of my thoughts are about him. I'm not going to have kids (he is my kid). I schedule plans AROUND him! I make sure someone is always with him so he's not alone. Do you think they can feel how much we love them? I've always wondered that! I find myself stealing kisses and telling him over and over so he doesn't forget or so he knows, but I he doesn't understand what I'm saying. Do I sound like a crazy person right now? LOL I'm hoping this is the ONE place I can come to ask this question where people will TRULY understand how much love we have for our precious babies!!!! :) |
No, I totally understand what you're saying! Jackson IS my child (I'm a college student - so no "real" kids quite yet!) and I plan my stuff around him. Nobody else my age seems to understand but I care about him sooo much. Honestly - I don't really think he knows HOW much I love him. I don't think real children really grasp onto how much their parents love them either though until they get older. I think that's the beauty of dogs though is just how innocent they are in the way they think. I truly know Jackson ENJOYS his life though and it's soo nice to see him that way. I can just see the happiness in his eyes when it comes to certain things, and the greeting I get every single time I enter the house is priceless!! |
I think they know...they certainly know when we are upset with them, :p so I think they know how much we love them, too. Boo is a rescue and there's no doubt he understands and is appreciative of the love and care he has now. He shows it every day in his efforts to do what we ask. He's always up for a cuddle or rough housing. Gracie Ruth & Yogi came from an amazing breeder who showers her gang with love and, of course, they get smothered with love from us. So although they may not know what it's like to not experience love, like Boo has, I'm sure they know they are loved and cared for. They can be very independent at times, but when they don't feel good or are scared they quickly seek out me or DH for comfort and reassurance. One of the best feelings is to be at the Dog Park and see them suddenly start search for me. The look on their face when they 'find' me is priceless. :) |

I think they understand as much as they are created to understand, and that may not be on the same level of understanding, as a human being... However, it's 100% understanding from their level of thinking, and is 100% as wonderful for them, as it is for us!!!...Wow, that was deep...and it's only 9:30 a.m.....Thanks for getting my brain up this morning lol... |

I think they know too! It's the little things that they do to show us: laying on our laps snuggling with us at night giving kisses knowing when we had a bad day and being there for us excited when they see us being upset when we are not home ( thats peanut) They cant TELL us but Peanut SHOWS me everyday that he loves me :luvu: |
My BF was going to give me a hug the other night. He came at me really fast because I was upset and Bailey growled and lunged at him. I was like OMG!!!! Little guy is so protective of his momma!!! He was in a dead sleep too... |
I truly believe they know how much we love them. I can tell by the way he loves me back. No words needed. It is so simple and unconditional. Zeus is the third child I never had! |
They know the love that they have,because if not I think, we're will have a big time trouble on our hand's, if they not feeling love. |
